  • Import Mapping

    Philip Child

Introduction A mapping file essentially allows data to be imported into OpenGround without the need of an intermediatory step such as data conversion. This file acts as a translation between the incoming data format, and its data, into a format that…

    Phil Wade

You can lock all modules, there is a button for this on the initial gint rules form. It would be good if we could lock selected modules, and let users create more modules themselves. But alas.

Assuming that you can manually enter the desired value directly in the project file, the problem is that your correspondence file is trying to draw data from 3 different source tables and gINT has no way of knowing how to link the data into a single record…

The HasData function has 3 arguements, each is separated by commas. The first arguement is the field to check if you have data, the second arguement is what to return if the field has data, the third is what to return if the field doesn't have data. In…

Try <<DelimitData(,<<Lookup(<<SV READINGS.Percent_Finer>>,<<SV READINGS.Reading>> = 0.075)>>,%)>> Note you would need a space before the "<=", but i think you just want the percent fines so "=" should be used

Hi Art, Yes if you want consistency that would be correct. The name would only affect a situation where you open the same project with two different libraries, but would make sense to keep lists that contain the same info the same name

Hi Art, The items under DataDesign. Reading Lists are stored in the library. In Field Properties the Default list Name is stored in the Database (.gdt,.gpj) that is picked from the library you have open. So for example you open a database with…

Hi Art Your thoughts in text are generally correct, but the code has many problems. Also note, the table event you should us for this is After Save. You need to loop through the record set, it is not related to GridData. A quick google returned https…

You can do this with a gINT Rule. Bentley has a number of example gINT Rules you can look at to get ideas. GR002 does a number of things, including copying data to another table.

Hi Art, I set the procedure to run on the "gINT Rules Procedure on Save" event, which is the most common and I assumed that was what you were wanting to do. To test it, I just deleted a value in one of the fields in the first record which then triggers…

Hi Art, I just copied your code examples into 2 new modules in a copy of the GR001 library file. I made no modifications to them. I recognized that you were using a copy of the TX DOT project file so I copied the Laboratory table to a copy of the…
