Graduate from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT Polytechnic) with a diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology in 1985.
MicroStation CAD user from 1991 to 1998 switching to MDL developer 1997 to the present. My primary roles have been as CAD Administrator and/or MDL Developer /GIS Consultant for the last 17 years.
I am currently working at ENMAX Corporation...again!...We have upgraded to ProjectWise V8i SS4 and MicroStation V8i SS3 and implemented Custom ProjectWise Document Control Tools (working with Dave Brumbaugh in Bentley Professional Services).
Previously, I worked at WorleyParsons Canada in Calgary, Alberta as an Engineering Design Systems Coordinator. I worked on multiple projects but my primary project was the IORVL ATM project, where I created and implemented Syncrude Standards in V8i MicroStation for all disciplines using MicroStation, supported CAD users and performed Quality Assurance checking at the end of the project. I also supported MicroStation V8i SS2 and InRoads V8i SS2 on additional projects were required.
Previous to WorleyParsons, I worked on contract at ENMAX in Calgary, Alberta. where I successfully assisted with the testing and implementation of Bentley Substation V8i SS3, MicroStation V8i SS2 and ProjectWise V8i SS2 for the Transmission Engineering Services group. I also wrote a custom Sag Algorithm for ENMAX's use with Substation to create free-form wire and cable symbols during 3D model creation.
Previous to ENMAX, I worked briefly for WorleyParsons Canada, and worked five years at Crape Geomatics Corporation, where I was involved in supporting the Geomatics CAD department (updating them from MS V7 to MS V8 2004), the implementation of ProjectWise V8 2004, the programming of MDL, VBA, VB.Net and 'C' custom applications and collaborated in the preliminary design of an ArcGIS system that did not get implemented due to the company being bought out by a competitor.
