I'm hoping to get some help for the task I need to solve.

- I am using OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition, version 10.11.0.115 -

The case is like this:
I have an alignment file and a few points nearby the geometry. I want to be able to annotate graphically the perpendicular distance between the points and the alignment and also the height difference between the points height and the alignment height. There is a tool I can use to do that?

The attached picture is just a PDF I received which is showing the lateral movement from an existing geometry to a project geometry. I would like to do something similar to that using one geometry and points and getting also the height diference.

Any suggestion?

Greetings,

Marina.

I am having problems when using the Cut/Fill volume function. I imported a terrain file (DTM file) with the feature definition as Existing, then import an XML file with the feature definition as Design. But when I want to create cut and fill volume the program it is showin "no existing surface found".

Someone knows why it could be this?

What I need is to create 3D points, placing them in a desire X,Y coordinates but for the Z coordinates I want to snap to a terrain model I have in the design. Is it that possible with some tool?

I know I can do it in Trimble Bussines Center but I´m trying to find if some tool can do the same in OpenRoads.

I have the mesh you can see in the picture attached and I want to create a terrain model from the top of that mesh but I can´t find the function to do it (if there is some).

I have tried to use "Create Terrain Model form Design Mesh -> Select Side of Closed Mesh: Top" but the function is showing after "No Design Surface Found".

Off course I can explode the mesh, keep the lines off the top that I need and create a terrain form element, but I wanted to know if there exist a better/faster way to do it.

Thanks in advance

I have a terrain model (existing) and other terrain model I have created from meshes that define the design model of a road.
I need to get the fill and cut volume between those to models but I need to be able to mark some areas from where I want the volume. So far what I have been able to do is calculate cut and fill volume of the hall model using the tool "volume" -> "analize volume".

Any advice about wich tool I can use to mark an area in where I want to get cut & fill volume?
