I am checking a Mat Foundation with Piles and I noticed that the piles are checked in all load combinations including ultimate.

How will we limit the pile check for service only?

I cannot also see the detailed calculation of pile reactions on the calculation sheet created. It just gives the summary (max reaction of all the piles). However, I want to know the maximum reaction of each pile. How will I do it?

STAAD Pro and RAM

Good Day,

I would like to pose a question relating to the comparison between the RAM suite of software and those included with STAAD. Traditionally, my firm has used STAAD to complete all our structural analysis and design, however, considering as the RAM option is also present I believe it is necessary to know the clear difference between these two programs to ensure the optimality in our future building designs. Also, if there are other programs provided by Bentley which would result in a more accurate design result, please feel free to place that suggestion: My queries have been listen below:

1.What is the key difference between the STAAD suite and the RAM suite of software?

2. Which program is best suited to modelling, analysing and designing structural concrete buildings and elements?

3. Which program is best suited to modelling, analysing and designing steel buildings and elements?

4. Which program is best suited to designing shear walls?

Any assistance with this query would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
