This is the message I get when I try to open any of the Open Roads files in my working folder. I am in version 10.00.03.453 of ProjectWise Explorer, and I'm in OpenRoads Designer CE-2021 Release 2. Someone gave me the advice to purge my dms folders, but I don't know what that means or how to do it. Somebody checked and my program associations look right. Anybody know what I can do to fix the problem?

How do you change a feature definition for a line you've already made?

I'm in Open Roads Designer CE 2021 - Release 2. I don't really want to create the line from scratch just to get the right feature definition, but when I change the feature definition in the feature definition tool bar it doesn't change the feature definition for the line I've selected. How do I change the feature definition for my alignment? It's a complex element, not a line, if that helps.

How do I get my proposed terrain to show up in the same view window as my cross section and my vertical alignment?

I need to shift my vertical alignment for one road to match where it meets another one that's already been designed by someone else. Can anyone help?

Accidentally put my vertical alignment in my view 1. How do I get my view (of my main design road) back?

I clicked on my horizontal alignment and hit "create profile model." Then I clicked the view I wanted to put it in. I was adjusting the size of the window and I accidentally clicked in my first window (view 1). This made my profile appear instead of the road I was working on... which is a problem. I can't undo it because ORD doesn't see that as an action or something (the undo arrow is grayed out because that was the first change I made). How do I get to my main road design? There has to be a way, but I'm still new to the software, and I don't know what it is.

Why did my file save the changes I made when I hit free?

I'm using Open Roads Designer 2021 (Release 2) and Project Wise.

I messed up my design, and it was going to take a while to undo every change I made, so I decided to close the file and free it. This usually discards any changes that I made and leaves me with the version of the file that was saved last, which is what I wanted. This time when I opened it back up again it saved my changes. Now I'm stuck because there's not a way to use the undo button anymore. I have a couple of questions.

1. Why is it doing this? I'd like to know so it doesn't happen again and I understand if there's something else I'm doing wrong/ don't understand about the software.

2. How do I get the previous version of the file back? Is there another way to do it besides requesting an old version of the file from Bentley?

Somehow I lost my vertical alignment

I had it, and then somehow I scrolled out? I know it is on my view somewhere, but I can't find it. I keep scrolling up and down, but I can't see it anywhere. I don't want to create it in another view if I don't have to. Is there a shortcut that makes the screen fit to the alignment?

Can't find the seed file mentioned in the training video

I'm following along with a video called "Session 2 - Creating Horizontal and Vertical Geometry" on Bentley's Open Roads Designer YouTube Channel, and I ran into a problem.

I'm supposed to click "New File" and then browse for the seed file used in the video, but I can't find it. The guy in the video says we're supposed to use the "specific seed file delivered with our data set." Maybe I shoud also clarify that I'm not sure which data set he means. According to him, the seed file comes with ORD. What file path do I follow? Do I need to download it from somewhere first? I'm working in the Training and Examples - Training-Imperial WorkSet.

error: "no enclosing region found"

I'm using OpenRoads Designer Release 2 (the one that came out in 2021). When I try to use the Create Region tool, an error comes up that says "no enclosing region found." I've checked over and over, but I can't find a break in the lines. I tried creating a square that I know has no line breaks and testing the Create Region tool in there. It worked the first time, but it won't work anymore. Is there a step I'm missing? Right now I'm clicking on the Create Region tool and right clicking inside the shape I want to fill. Can anyone help me?
