projected slope stops updating after adding surface profile

Hi all,

I want to design my vertical alignement for the highlighted arc (cyan).
When I project the main profile (red alignment) onto this cyan arc this is dynamic, i.e. when I change the horizontal radius of the cyan alignment, the projected profile updates, same for the intersection point.

The moment I add circulatory roadway profile from surface to the cyan profile, the projected profile as well as the intersection point stops updating.

From that moment on, only profile from surface updates as it should.

The circulatory corridor is in a separate file if it matters. It is a simple corridor based on a generic template.

This is a new file on a Metric seed file, just started editing it, no errors so far.

Am I missing something or is it a bug? (don't convince me it should work like that!)

Using 2022 r3.

Here I added the profile from surface and changed the radius of that cyan arc.
I also added a new profile projection as well a new intersection to show that the old one does not update.

When I remove that projected surface, everything becomes dynamic again.

Any ideas what is happening?

[MX SS4 W10] CAD data import issue

Hello,

I've just got a new workstation with Windows 10 and MX SS4. While trying to import CAD data from master DGN into MX model I've encountered an issue with this tool. The import wizard isn't appearing (after confirming a warning dialog concerning a possible modification of drawing content) but it seems to be working somehow/somewhere (other commands in menus are faded as inactive just like in the moment when an other command is in progress). I've also checked it on another W10/SS4 units and the problem with this tool is shared.

Does anyone know the solution or I need to open a service ticket?

Simple Arc to Element / Arc Between Points problem

Hi All,

I am trying to create an arc tangential at one end to a circle, ending at a random point, this is the result, close to what I want:

When I specify the exact radius (either during arc creation process or after), it just jumps to alternative tangential point on a circle:

Is it a bug or can I obtain alternate result? Can't see any option for that.

Tried on MX and ORD v. 10.02.00.60 and I'm getting the same result.

Also, I was trying to work around it using Arc Between Points with a Tangent snap to a circle, resulting in a crash.

Tried it many times, as I could not believe it hangs on that, but it does, both packages, every time.

Any help/explanation would be welcome.
