wms not working in PowerSurvey

I was wondering if there was a change in MicroStation or a Microsoft update that affected the wms attachments? I can no longer view the wms imagery from any source.

I can not find the Label Line tool?

Looking for the Label line tool to add Bearing and distance to boundary lines.

Can not seem to find it.

Pulling information from ProjectWise to automatically populate an OpenRoads Report.

I would like to populate information from ProjectWise into an OpenRoads Report. The data is already created in fields of the PW project folder.

I have very little programming training, but I think this will work if I can point the report in the right direction. I asked this in another Forum, but I thought you folks might be able to help.

Error message "default SHX font(s) in Bentley Map v8i

I get this error message when I hit 'Run' in Bentley Geospatial Administrator. How do I fix this problem?

"Cannot locate default SHX font(s) (defined as 'msdefault'). Please ensure that one can be found in MS_FONTPATH or MS_DWGFONTPATH, or modify the font configuration file to specify a different default. Program must now exit!"

Am I supposed to fix this in Geospatial Administrator.

New to Map

Good morning,

I have been working with MicroStation (Geopak, PowerSurvey, OpenRoads) for a while. I have moved to a new section in Cartography and started working in ArcGIS Pro, but do not like the tools.

I need help getting started in Bentley Map. I've used it before with the FAA Airport Layout Plan workspace, but I need to get set up my own. I viewed a few of the videos on Bentley Learn, but I need to set up a my workspace from scratch.

Does anyone have any links to get me started?

What is Advanced Map Finishing?

I can't find a simple way to get a definition on Bentley Communities. I 'm looking for information on what Advanced Map Finishing is, what is does, and some examples of its products.

PS.

Are there any instructions on how to use Bentley Communities? It's not very easy finding basic information. Most of the questions are pretty advanced. What is the difference between a Wiki and a forum?

Models and Descriptions

I have a Border file that has several models at different scales in it. Each model has a description with it. When I reference this border file in and select a model it will place it in the file with the description of that model. If I change the settings to a different model it does not change the description to the new model description. It keeps the original description of the first model that was attached. Is this a bug in the system? I would like it to update the description of the model to the attached model.

Placing Cells with Active Attributes

I am working in MicroStation SS3 08.11.09.714.

I have cells I am trying to place by level. The cell library is old and the elements are drawn on Level dsnCellElements and WT 1, CO 2, ST 0. Want to place the cells relative to the active level phoUtility, WT 0, CO 2, ST 0.

When the 'Relative' toggle is checked I can place the cell on the correct active level (phoUtility), but the WT is still on WT 1. How do I place the cells on 'By Level' (WT 0) with the Active Level attributes?

Custom Tools and Element Templates with cells

I am looking for the proper key-in for placing a cell from the Element Templates.

I have an Element Template set up to place "FLAG POLE" on the proper level, wt, color, etc. This Element Template will grab the correct cell from the cell library. Right now I have the process as a 2 step process. step 1. Select the Element Template, step 2. click PLACE ACTIVE CELL command.

I want to make this a one step process with custom tool.

I have successfully created custom tools for the linework in my Element Templates using key-in commands with a one button process. I trying to figure out the key-in for the cell. So far I have template active Photo Planimetrics\Cell\Flag Pole; place cell

What do I need to do to created a new tool bar and task menu?

Not able to create a new tool box or task menu. All of the options for creating a new tool, toolbar, or task menu are grayed out.
