I'm an intern at a company and my main task is to learn how to use Hevacomp. For two weeks I've been learning about the software, but last week I discovered AECOsim, specifically AECOsim Energy Simulator. I do not know how to use AECOsim as I know how to use Hevacomp, but I realized this two softwares are very similar, meaning that many of the functions that Hevacomp does, AECOsim Energy Simulator does them too. My wondering is: what are the advantages and disadvantages of both softwares and when is it more suitable to use one or the other?

I'm beginning a new project using AECOsim Energy Simulator, in which I have to analyze a series of container rooms and do some recommendations regarding HVAC systems, materials, position and orientation in order to achieve better performance. I've been doing this by defining all of these rooms in a same building, but I would like to rotate each room separately in order to analyze the effect of the others' shading in heat gains, losses, and temperatures, and see which configuration (in terms of position and orientation) is the best. My question is: Is there a way of having more than one building in one project??

I'm an intern at a company and I was assigned the task of learning how to use Hevacomp and its different modules, focused on the design and specially energy calculations of electrical rooms. Since I'm an mechanical engineer student, I don't know much about electrical devices, but I learned how to use the Connect module and realized there isn't an option of calculations regarding energy gains/losses. On the other hand, I'm almost sure there are no options in the Mechanical Designer or the Design Database modules regarding electrical devices such as switchboards, transformers, batteries, busbars, etc. I'm wondering if there is a way to integrate this modules or if there is another way of doing energy calculations on electrical rooms.

I'm learning to use Hevacomp and I imported a gbXML data file in order to do some calculations using Desing Database. When I try to use the simulator, I can't do any kind of simulation because this same problem appears:

The first and second floors in the building look like this:

I zoomed in were I think the problem is. I think I know what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help me please???

I'm using Hevacomp and I realized this program can import gbXML files, which is better than importing a .dxf file. I was looking for a program that could export a .xml file and I found that AECOsim Building Designer does this, so I installed it, but even though I searched and read about the program, I could not find an option such as "Export to gbxml" or something similar. Can someone please help me??
