The RAM "Connection Check" feature will check the connection capacity vs demand purely from a beam size perspective, not taking into account the type of connection (i.e is it single coped? Double coped? is it a beam to column connection where there might not be any coping?). All these different connection types will have different shear tab capacities for gravity.

So my question is; is there a way to tell RAM the type of connection at each node so that it will check different capacities for each connection type? Or at least, is there a way for RAM to print if a beam is connecting to another beam OR a column?

Please let me know if you have ideas on this.

Thanks
