Hello everyone,

For those of you at the conference, this was the dashboard I showed in my presentation and for those not at the conference, this is a dashboard on performance monitoring inside of ProjectWise using PowerShell. Please find the attached documents to getting started with setting up performance monitoring on your system. There is a PowerShell script that needs to be run on some kind of scheduled task at the various locations you want to test, the template for the PowerBi report and a setup document to help you link the results from your script with PowerBi. For any questions or discussion please post to this thread. Enjoy!

UPDATE March 16, 2020

Change log
- Now supports WSG metrics, activated with the -IncludeWSGData switch (requires PWPS_WSG to be installed if activated)
- Added more verbose logging
- Added Environment table and WSG table to output
- Updated the call to get currently connected users (should perform better)
- Now only clears files created by the script from the working directory (was previously clearing everything)

Notes

- If you do not want WSG data returned you do not need to activate the switch, or change your current script in any way.

- If you do with to collect WSG data please remember to install PWPS_WSG the same way you install PWPS_DAB

- A new datatable is returned for Environment data, which will be added to the output dataset

- No breaking changes have been made.

I'm using PWPS_PWDM (which works pretty well) to gather info from Deliverables Management. With some assistance getting set up, I have been able to get a Submittals information dataset sorted into datatables, and from there into Excel. I'd like to just write the tables straight into a SQLite database, using the Export-DataTableToSQLiteDB cmdlet, but when I try to run the command I get an error message: "Export-DataTableToSQLiteDB : DataTable already belongs to another DataSet."

I think I'm missing something obvious here. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Work Area Connection to ProjectWise Project (PW 365)

Hi,

Are other's having any issues recently (right around when IMS 2.0 was pushed out) on new work area creation specifically around work area's associated to ProjectWise Projects (PW 365)?

Our PowerShell script has stopped associating work area to ProjectWise Projects. No changes to script.

1. The pwps_dab is updated

2. We are running the PowerShell ISE (x86) latest updated version

PWPS_DAB is up to date.

Import-Module PWPS_DAB -Force
New-PWLogin
Get-PWConnectedProjectDataLocations

Get this error for all connected functions that has been tried.

We just posted version 1.7.13.0 of the #PWPS_DAB #PowerShell module for #ProjectWise to the PowerShell Gallery. To install: Run an Admin session of 32-bit PowerShell v5 and use the cmdlet Update-Module PWPS_DAB (if you already have the module) or Install-Module PWPS_DAB (for a new install). One can run Uninstall-Module PWPS_DAB first just to clean up old installs. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This PowerShell Module is not covered under your SELECT Agreement and is not supported via your contractual support channels. Support is only available via the BE Communities site ( communities.bentley.com/.../projectwise-powershell-extensions-forum ).

Apply Permission to folders

I can apply permissions to folders using the Import Permissions on the access Control Tab in ProjectWise Explorer

I can do a search and get a selection of folders that I want to apply this new security template to.

But I can only import to one folder at a time using ProjectWise Explorer

Can I from PW Powershell apply permissions to a selection set of folders? Example: all folders named XXX under folder AAA apply exported XLS security Template from PW Explorer

Are there any commands that allow you to assign UserList ownership?
I’m updating my project creation script & have been looking for a way to add this.
Get-PWUserList and Update-PWUserList don’t seem to work since the Owner property of the UserList object is read-only, and it doesn't recreate relative ownership when building new UserLists during New-PWRichProjectFromPath using -UserListPrefix.
