At the moment I am working on a project in which we need to produce a federated model that we end up exporting as an IFC.

We have done so successfully with each independent file, but when its time to create a federated model and attaching them all together some of the files for some reason come up as a 2D.

With some of the files, attaching them as an interactive reference and having their nested attachments in the live nesting option turned on has turned out in a successful outcome. But for other links they will still come out in the model in a 2D representation.

Is there a known way to avoid this, setting them up in the coincident world and not as interactive wont help either.

Best regards and thanks for the help.

IFC Data Loss export

Hello,

Im writting to see if anyone could help me out.

At the moment i have a project done in Openroads which im trying to export as an IFC file for further coordination, since the IFC exporter in Openroads isnt creating an IFC file for anything other than corridors even though there might be other modelled info, im using OpenBuildings for that purpose.

I've defined custom parameters that i need in my file through the Openroads asset manager, once that is done i create an "i" file that i import into OpenBuildings, i do so because its the only way that im able to maintain these parameters, once in OpenBuildings I create the IFC file, but this IFC is missing these parameters that i had previously created in OpenRoads and that I could read in my imported "I" file in OpenBuildings.

How can i get these parameters exported within my IFC file?

Adapt terrain to road?

Hello,

I'm trying to adapt a terrain I have modelled from elements to a road.

How would you proceed? I would like to make my terrain follow the roadway that I have also modelled.

If anyone could give me any input it would be greatly appreciated.

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.
