Hi Shane,

Hope all’s well. I require your assistance with a problem using Hevacomp. At the moment, the only application I can use in Hevacomp Version Copyright 2019 Bentley Systems - V8i SS1 SP10 – (V8i SS1 SP2) without getting some run-time error is Design Database – Load Calculations. Run-time errors 53 and 76 seem to appear for most applications when trying to open a new project file (which I have created on my desktop).

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

CIBSE Gain - Explanation of Calculation Results Summary

Hi,

I have a question for you: I am running a CIBSE Gain calculation using Hevacomp and am having trouble making sense of the gains to the spaces. To see why there are excessive gains, I removed all internal heat gains, both sensible and latent i.e. people, lighting and equipment, from all spaces in the model, however, the results of the cooling load calculation show there are still gains (see screenshot). Could you provide some clarity as to what these gains are caused by?

Also, when I input a casual load gain, why does this change throughout the peak day when it is a constant value?

John Moloney, engineer with Homan O’Brien here. Quick question for you; I have an office building modelled in Hevacomp, is there a way of getting a schedule of room floor areas or exporting them to excel from Hevacomp?
