InRoads SS3 V08.11.09.674.
Feature definitions and (Civil) Element Templates are kept in two different dgnlibs.

I am trying to control the color display of the filled components in the template editor. For testing, I am using the supplied Example workspace incl. template library. The level colors (in level manager) have been set to RGB to avoid problems with different color tables.

With this setup, all template components are grey in the template editor.

In the example below, this is my color setup:
-The element template for Grade_Veg_Grass (the gray shape) is set to ByLevel. This color should be picked from level manager (Green, RGB 0,210,0).
-All other element templates are set to RGB 254,0,255 in Element Templates.

My conclusion is that RGB colors will be read when defined in Element Templates, but not through ByLevel.

How can I use RGB colors from Level Manager?

I have been using batch process a lot in earlier versions, but with SS3 (with or without InRoads loaded) I get lots of junk text after my string.

These are the first program lines of my batch script:

A-E is placed as expected. The rest is appended with with this text "CIVILCOORD RestoreCoordLockOverridesCIVILCOORD RestoreCoordLockOverrides".

Does anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong?

The output from the batch process is attached to this post.

I am trying to drape an image to an SS3 terrain model. I am using the workshop files for "OpenRoads Quickstart - Roadway Modeling".

The raster is named MeadowPark.tif
The CAD file I am using for testing is "North St.-Corridor-Metric.dgn"
I have assigned dcdrape to the terrain triangles in our dgnlib. When I drape the raster to the referenced terrain model, the raster is scaled approx. 50% and repeated in X and Y directions. To achieve draping, the symbology for my terrain model is overridden to existing_triangles.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

I am using InRoads V08.11.09.674.

I have a dgn (dgn1) with an OpenRoads terrain model showing contours and low points. This file is referenced into another dgn file (dgn2).

Contour Text and High Points are mapped to the same Text Style.

Annotation Scale in dgn1 is set to 1:1. In dgn2, I have 1:50.

If "Use Active Annotation Scale" is disabled, the text (contour text and low point text) scale equally to the text elements in dgn2.

When I enable "Use Active Annotation Scale", the reference text seems to be geared with a ratio of 10.

For me, this raises a whole lot of questions, but my main problem is to disable all scaling in my reference file.

E.g: For this instance, the referenced file should display exactly as it does when I work with it. I don't want any scaling to occur with the reference file.

Any ideas?

We are currently modelling subsea rock berms along an alignment by using native tools such as View 3D alignment (with offset to get the backbone width), creating a complex shape and Generate Sloped Surface. We are now trying to make the transition to OpenRoads technology, but a few details about the process are still a bit unclear.

We have created a simple corridor template with only one end condition (-40%).

The main problem here is how to end the template drop with the same slope as the left/right end condition. Please see images below. How should I solve this to get a continuous slope in the template ends?

We have also been trying to make a civil cell with start/end station and a single alignment as input, but we have not managed to make that work.

My understanding of Preferred Preference is that it is user specific. By this, I mean that each user can work with different Preferred Preferences at the same time.

I had originally planned to set up different Preferences for several tasks that are related to specific workflows. Then, each user can select the Preferred Preference to ensure that the standards are set automatically.

Now I see that whenever I change my preferred preference, this is written to the xin file, changing the settings for ALL users.

I have attached two stylesheets.

"Alignment Flag report missing rotationDirection" is showing everything as desired, but missing rotationDirection

"IP Report_Direction" is showing how i would like to display the rotationDirection in the other report

My stylesheets are organized in subfolders, so the styles are referenced an additional level up with <xsl:include href="../../format.xsl"/>

I am trying to import a list of horizontal events including point name with the Text Import Wizard. I get no error notification, but whatever I do, the point name does not get imported to the event list.

All point names are different.

I am working with corridor modelling based on a 2D seed file. When I am referencing a terrain model into the 2D model it does not get auto attached to the 3D model.

Just to be sure I followed the Terrain Element Display lecture, but I could not get the same results. http://learn.bentley.com/app/VideoPlayer/LinkToIndividualCourse?LearningPathID=106084&CourseId=111494&MediaID=5005275

After the initial post I found a "workaround". This workaround can be seen in the second uploaded video clip. If I detach the terrain model and then undo it will be displayed in 3D. All tests were done in Example workspace with files delivered by Bentley.

I have Microstation with InRoads (v08.11.09.674). When I switch between views my entire GUI flashes / reloads. I am still in the process of testing my workspace, but I suspect that this is related to InRoads being layered on top of Microstation.

In my file I have imported a dtm to terrain model, created a simple horizontal alignment and created a vertical alignment from terrain. Then I have opened three views, Plan(2D), profile and isometric(3D).

We do not have PowerInRoads or PowerCivil for testing, so I can not confirm that our workspace is OK. I will upload a video capture as soon as I find out how to do it.
