&lt;h1&gt;Problem Description&lt;/h1&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;I am unable to select a defect onto a work order. No error messages are displayed but defect simply does not appear in the list of available defects to select.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h1&gt;Steps to Resolve&lt;/h1&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There may be several reasons why this happens:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;The defect date inspected is after the work order date raised.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;The activity type of the defect is not included in the list of valid activities against the item code breakdown for the budget you&amp;#39;re using. (this can be checked under reference / financial / item code breakdowns)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;The section the defect is on is not a member of either the work order header road group or the budget road group (if defined)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;The defect section&amp;#39;s admin unit is not a child, or the same, as the contract admin unit.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;The defect is superseded, or the only available repair is an immediate one (only permanent or temporary repairs can be placed on a work order).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;In some cases if the road environment of the road section is blank it can cause this, especially if not working on Local roads.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;The notify organisation is filled in for the defect. This implies another organisation is going to deal with the issue so it is not possible to raise work order within Highways for it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When trying to log into Structures Manager there is an error&amp;nbsp;message:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Error. Security token expired. The token was valid to : dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h1&gt;Solution&lt;/h1&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This issue normally means your browser cache needs clearing .&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Clear the appropriate browser cache.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h1&gt;Solution&lt;/h1&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1.Email issue&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Mail users form has an invalid email address&amp;nbsp;as the default email address for user ef Form Unassigned.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This email address is deliberately not valid - so&amp;nbsp;the person&amp;nbsp;will not get an email notification &amp;ndash;&amp;nbsp; this was intentional so person would not want&amp;nbsp;to get all this information. However, an address has to exist for the process to work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have spoken to&amp;nbsp;the person whose email is currently assigned&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;they believe we were requested to assign a non-customer&amp;nbsp;address to prevent an email address being swamped with messages. If you wish to alter this - then just amend from the mail users form - this should then redirect traffic to the new address. Beware the address will get a lot of email.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The SMTP error is likely to be due - to both incorrect email address and maybe your email relay not being able to send out to non enfield addresses.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Duplicate record issue in PEM&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I would suggest there is a strong possibility that two calls are being made to the API a second apart, thus two records are created - we can see the difference from the screenshot when seconds ARE available.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You need to look at the calling system to find out why two calls are being made &amp;ndash; does the calling system have a log of each call made? -&amp;nbsp; We can only create data from an API call.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Given there is one second between each record created - it seems the calling system could be calling the API twice in quick succession.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. Non creation of PEM record Issue&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It looks like Annarita tried to create the record around 17:27. However, there is no record in the system &amp;ndash; so does the person who tried to create&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; remember a timing out, break in connection, or error message being displayed that may have prevented the record from being created?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;SDE Server 9976 exit&amp;#39;d with status 2&lt;br /&gt;Error (-10):Couldn&amp;#39;t Start Server Task.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;Process 9804, no shared information bl&lt;br /&gt;ock established##&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;Error (-9):Couldn&amp;#39;t Start Server Task.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;Process 7404, no shared information block established&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;we recycle the ser&lt;br /&gt;vice and it works for a short while and then get the same errors.&amp;nbsp; No upgrade has been done on the system and this is happening Dail&lt;br /&gt;y now.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h1&gt;Solution&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Check if there has been a new Gazetteer load , go to Street Gazetteer Manager, Import,NSG Loader Batches.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Query back the appropriate batch for the organisation&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Click on the tool bar icon&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Select Spatial indexes&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A message spatial indexes do not need to be re-built will appear if they don&amp;#39;t need to be rebuilt.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However if they do need rebuilding the appropriate message to rebuild will be displayed, click ok to do.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Post doing the usrns should then appear and the i button should display the details of the usrn&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Is there a way of globally updating an asset based on another attribute within the same asset based on size?&lt;br /&gt;Example:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A gate is 1.2 m wide. (The width being a numeric field in the asset metamodel) &lt;br /&gt;Needs its Actual Value updating (again another numeric field in the metamodel)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But we need to update all Wooden/Timber gates using the following crieria&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Timber Gates &amp;lt; 1.0m = &amp;pound; 500.00&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Timber Gates &amp;gt;1.1 and &amp;lt;2.0 = &amp;pound;1000.00&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Timber Gates &amp;gt;2.01 and &amp;lt; 3.0 = &amp;pound;2000.00&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;etc......&lt;/p&gt;
