I am having an issue with GPK drawing my surfaces that I produced from Roadway Designer. When I am in RD, I can flip through the stations and the existing surface and proposed surfaces and information look good. I will then use the Create Surface tool within Roadway Designer and create the proposed DTM file while also displaying the features and components. When I look at the 3D features and components that are created, everything looks good and it covers the full limits of my project. When I go to the Draw Cross Sections from Surfaces tool within Corridor Modeler, I setup both my existing DTM and my new proposed DTM to be drawn. Once it draws these two surfaces, the existing surface is drawn through the end of the project, but the proposed doesn't show up on the last 4 or 5 sections. Any idea why this would be happening?

After I click the buttons, it obviously won't work. I think this error may somehow be related to installing Geopak SS3. Before I installed that, the tool was working. I am trying to use this tool while in MS 8.11.09.397 and GPK 8.11.07.566.

I didn't think installing GPK SS3 next to (different installation folders) would cause issues, but I can't think what else it would be. I have tried using the tool with different workspaces with no luck. There are others in the office that can use the tool, but they don't have GPK SS3 installed.

Any ideas how to remedy this? I prefer not to have to uninstall GPK SS3, but if I am unable to use the tool in SS2, I will have to.

We have had success on the first few times we have used this to copy one of the entries, rename it, and then modifying it to build our custom library. I tried to do the same thing this morning, but I am unable to copy or edit the entries. When I right-click on one of my custom entries, I only have the options to "copy" or "move to favorites".

I created a model from Corridor Modeler and created a DTM from it. When I use the "Draw Cross Sections from Surface" tool, for some reason it doesn't draw a certain line. This line happens to be the back slope after a paved side ditch. The odd thing is that point label is drawn where that line would connect to the existing ground, but it just isn't drawing the line. The back slope line is drawn on the section before and after without any issues and the station is a nice even station.

Any ideas what is happening with this? I have had a similar issue on a much longer job several months ago, but I just worked around it due to time constraints. That was with an older version of Windows, MS, and GPK.

I have Roadway Designer setup with multiple corridors (mainline, intersecting roadways, culvert with ditch). When I draw surfaces and have it display the features and components, everything looks pretty good. All the corridors show up and they are all clipping like I want. When displaying the surfaces, I have it put all that information in one DTM file. When I go to draw sections from surfaces, I have it draw from the Existing Ground DTM and the Proposed DTM that I just created. Once it is finished, I can see that almost all of my mainline corridor looks good, but on a lot of the driveway and intersecting roadway corridors, I can see the point marker labels, but no line work connecting it. On culvert corridor that crosses the mainline, I don't see the point markers or linework. Attached is an example of the error at a drive.

I seem to have occasional issues using these line styles. For whatever reason, the text will come in extremely large on one line style, but the others will behave correctly. When we need to use the centerline, flow line, or property line symbol, we have to use a couple of spaces within the text and then go back and add the appropriate cell for that symbol. This is not terribly efficient and causes issues when text has to be moved or otherwise modified (you have to remember to move all of the cells along with it). Is there a good way, either through text substitutions or any other means, to replace the text string "C/L", "P/L", or "F/L" with the appropriate cell? Ideally, I would like to have something that our users can just include the text C/L in the note itself as a placeholder for the cell.
