The profile named boundaries occasionally get "broken" without any apparent reason. The profile group in the named boundaries manager becomes empty but the group is in the "other groups". That makes the profile annotation drawings and sheets useless ie We need to cut and annotate them again -30 of them. Is there a reason for that and a fix? Or maybe a better workflow. For instance keeping named boundaries in separate files? We keep the drawings and sheets separate from design model file. But the named boundaries are in the design model.

Civil Plan By Element Sheet Seed rotated

Hi

I'm trying to create sheet seed file for plan creation in which the user picks predefined sheet layout shapes to create drawing and sheet models based on those Named Boundaries.

For that I am using Create Named Boundary tool with By Element option. In result I am getting is rotated by -90 degrees the "drawing detail" thingy object in relation to the sheet layout.

I am not even sure if this is the correct workflow and toolset for the task.

Here is the result. Of course when I try to cut sheets from that sheet seed the drawing is also rotated in the sheet model. The drawing model view is rotated by -90 deg.

Copy vertical profle not ruled

The copy vertical option applied to a complex profile produces a copy of the profile with feature definition applied but the new copied profile is not ruled, ie does not have civil rules it is just geometry.

Can you enable civil rules to Microstation geometry? It is simple complex line. The default method ie. by using copying fence content form reference leaves one undesirable problem. The annotations lose their reference and text fields become orphaned.

Is there any other way?

I need to share the drawing in "as is" state.

Annotation group levels in profile drawing model

The elements in the drawing model coming from annotation group (profile frame and table) do not conform to the specs defined in the library. Lines weight and style are set to 0 while in the style library they are defined differently. The case is only apparent when the profile drawings are created outside of the geometry file i.e. in new file created from defined named boundaries.

The custom configuration of the workspace environment which I am trying to develop does not pull libraries defined at the Organization-Civil level (no Feature Libraries, no Text Styles, no Levels).

I have basically followed the manual in the video and in the pdf document.

The folder with the standards inside the Organization-Civil folder is a copy of the original "_Civil Default Standards - Metric" folder and renamed to suit my needs. All stuff inside remains intact.

The .cfg file is renamed as shown above. The file content unchanged

The "Metric Standard" Workspace's config file contains the variable
CIVIL_ORGANIZATION_NAME = SPI-Warszawa

# Do NOT include .cfg file extension in the variable definition.

# <<<< Make Changes Here >>>>
CIVIL_ORGANIZATION_NAME = SPI-Warszawa
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The configuration loads up without any error messages. Somehow the Organization-Civil level is ignored and only when it is renamed to something else than default -as delivered.

Here are debug files and config files. Can anyone have a look? plzzz
