Uma is a Chartered Professional Engineer (registered civil engineer with NPER/Australia). Uma is experienced in both consultancy and research & development. Provision of high level advice to clients on water related issues, Planning, Modelling, Design and Analysis of Stormwater, Sewer & Water Systems, data management for water resources systems and sustainable management of water resources. Uma also involved in project managing system planning, feasibility and design of major water resources related studies and managed projects from inception to acceptance of final reports. His major fields of expertise are Hydrology, Hydraulics, System Planning, Modelling and Design of Water, Sewer and Stormwater systems, Stormwater Management, GIS Applications in Water Resources, Hydroinformatics and Project Management & Coordination.
As an experienced consultant, Uma has taken up lead roles as modelling and GIS expert in several multidisciplinary, multimillion dollar water related projects for clients in Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, and Singapore.
Uma has presented and published a number of papers at international conferences and in esteemed journals, and has made a substantial scientific contribution to the field of Hydroinformatics in Catchment Modelling Systems.
