It is taking about 30 seconds, where-as with ProjectWise Explorer Client version 08.11.11.590 it takes 2-3 seconds. They use the same common ProjectWise Server version 10.00.03.140 in the backend.

Something is wrong with version 10.00.03.453. Not sure if earlier 10.00.03.XXX versions are like that or not.

I'm trying to use that version as we are going to move to the latest MicroStation CE update, from the Select Series 10 version we are currently using. So ProjectWise Client version 10.00.03.453 is the latest version listed in the compatibility matrix for ProjectWise and MicroStation CE update 16.

Can anyone help. Thanks.

Since I switched to Connect I have noticed that the File menu is painfully slow. It's been frustrating me for years, but it's always been bearable. Recently, circumstances have forced me to work from home over a VPN connection. And since then the File menu has been MUCH slower. It got me thinking about what might be the problem. I hypothesized that the problem is the time it takes to load the thumbnails of my recently opened files. If I'm right, it is basically opening my last 10 dgns every time I open the File menu.

So I am trying to find a way to disable the recent files in the File menu, or at least disable the drawing previews that appear there. I'm not sure if this is possible. Can someone tell me if there are any Configuration Variables, or any other settings, that do this?

Outside of that, can anyone can give evidence for or against the hypothesis? Although I suppose that would be outside the scope of this post.

Edit: Microstation CONNECT Update 13 - Version 10.13.01.01

Raster manager won't do a Save As into a ProjectWise folder (MicroStation CE release 17)

In MicroStation 10.17.00.209, with a raster file attached to the DGN file from either a local network folder or a folder within ProjectWise, and then trying to do a Save As in Raster Manager in MicroStation into a folder in ProjectWise, it gives the error message "Last Error 58052.
The only time it will work is if the raster file you are doing the "Save As" on is already in the same folder in ProjectWise that you are trying to do the Save As into.

We have ProjectWise 10.00.03.271 client on the PC with MicroStation 10.17.00.209 that has the issue.

This has never been a problem when using PowerDraft Select Series 10 (which we are still using). We have ProjectWise 08.11.11.590 client on the PC with PowerDraft Select Series 10 that has no issues (earlier versions of PowerDraft/MicroStation or ProjectWise had no issues either).
