About Chris Rennie
September 25, 1995 – Present
Founding Member of the MicroStation Institute (now the Bentley Institute). Wrote over ten Institute courses, including Essential MicroStation and Productive MicroStation, and I am an Institute Certified Instructor for the same.
Manage Documentation Projects. Review and monitor progress on all work; coach and teach writers on correct standards and procedures; direct PRG Help Builds for all products as necessary; and coordinate all efforts with Product and Development Managers, and Localization as needed.
Ensure that complex documentation projects are effectively planned, scheduled, researched, and written. Assign Documentation writer resources to projects; and require successful completion of documentation that is technically accurate.
Platform Support Engineer. I take an active role in BE Communities and mentor colleagues to write BE Communities articles. I am active with the Bentley Social Topics Colleague Training Committee, and the Support Solutions Team.
I have: a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Design, Industrial Engineering, and Education; a Master of Science degree in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development; and I am ABD for Doctor of Education. Prior to Bentley, I taught Architecture and Design at the college level using Bentley and competitor applications.
