How to delete a row in FlexTable

Hi All,

I found that there are some rows in node and conduit Flextable not ncessary or created by error and trying to delete them. But cannot do it. See screenshot below:

How can I remove these rows?

No Bentley Feature definitions in ORD Update 3

Hi all,

Good to see ORD Update 3 is released. However, when using Training and Examples workspace and Training-Imperial workset, no Bentley feature definitions are shown in the Libraries of Explorer. It was available in Update 1 but not in Update 2 and 3.

When checking the Settings, Configuration Variables and Edit Configuration Variables windows, the following lists show:

in Libraries of Explorer, no Bentley's training and example feature definitions are available. Please see the screenshot:

ORD Update 2 missing Feature Definitions Imperial.dgnlib and Subsurface Feature Definitions Imperial.dgnlib

Hi all,

I installed the ORD Update 2 but found that Feature Definitions Imperial.dgnlib and Subsurface Feature Definitions Imperial.dgnlib are not available in the installed path below:

C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CONNECT 10.01.00\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_OpenRoads Training - Imperial\Dgnlib\Feature Definitions

Do I miss something to install? Thank you for your response.

Non standard survey coordinates

Hi All,

I have a survey which is not standard geo-referenced. When using geographic tool, the location pointing to far away from the real location. Surveyor used a local monument as origin. My question is: how can I re-geo-reference the data to the standard coordinate system? If possible, can I generate the coordinates for construction data back to the currently monument as origin?

Bioretention Template in OpenRoads

Hi All,

Is there any way to create a bioretention template in OpenRoads so that profile and section view creation will be quickly done? The detail of bioretention shall include 6" ponding depth, 3" mulch, 2.5' filter media, 3" bridging layer No. 8 pea gravel, 6" perforated PVC underdrain, 12" No. 57 stone.

ORD Grading tying in issues

Hi All,

I am using ORD to do the grading of a bioretention pond. I got two methods to do it. One is pond template, another is vertical profile. When choosing pond template using water elevation as origin, the pond bottom, free board and berm do not created. When using vertical element (Profile By Slope From Element) with linear Template to tie it into existing terrain. Non of them works.

Any suggestion especially how to tie in to sloped surface or varied slopes are really appreciated.

How to make contours available in MicroStation referenced ORD file

Hi All,

I referenced ORD file which has a terrain a contours in MicroStation file but cannot see the contours in MicroStation. How can I make it work? I exported InRoads dtm file from ORD terrain. When I open it in InRoads, it located in a different place and difference scale. The terrain was generated in the same place and showed correctly in ORD. Do I miss something when exporting dtm from ORD?

How to change Annotation orientation in ORD

The default horizontal baseline annotation is parallel to the Station Tics.

Is there a way to make it perpendicular to the Station Tics?

I did this manually rotated. Is there a way in ORD to do it automatically?

SUDA 3D structure problem

Hi all,

There is a problem in my OpenRoads 3D as shown below:

It looks like something between the top and the bottom is missing. It works with ORD. Since ORD has not been released update 2. I am working on InRoads to make it work. Everything else works well now except the 3D inlets structure. I opened the 3D and 2D cell dgn files. Nothing wrong was there. So, why did it show like this and how to fix it?

Utilities not Shown in Drainage Profile

Hi all,

I was hope to display the utility crossing in the drainage profile in ORD but that function will not available until next release. So, I am trying to use InRoads to do this.

Style manager was activated to create the utility styles before the process. Basically, Two utility lines are crossing the storm pipe as shown below:

In InRoads Drainage, these two utilities were created and shown below:

However, they were not shown in the drainage profile (see screenshot below):

How to build a template of grass swale with certain criteria in ORD

Hi all,

Sorry for post it again for I did run into a problem which help is needed.

I as using the trapezoidal channel template but something does not work for my situation. My design is a 8' wide bottom width, 4:1 side slope on each side with 4" thickness, cutting to existing ground surface until to the edge of pavement.

First of all, it was design for concrete channel (see screenshot below), how can I change to be grass swale?

Secondly, when using the 4:1 side slopes on both side and project to surface constraints, it will well. See screenshot below:

However, when I use edge of pavements on both sides as control points, the 4 to 1 side slope does not apply anymore. See screenshot below:

So, my second question is: how to modify the template (see below) to maintain the 4:1 side slopes while adding edge of pavements controls? or alternatively, instead of adding edge of pavements as control points, is there a way to project the edge of pavements to the cross section? If yes, how to project it in ORD?
