Currently in our project, we are going through our templates adding "Vertical Point Controls" due some special ditch elevations. Our template (shown below) consists of a 6:1 after the turf, a 4:1 then our ditch. At some points in our project, the 4:1 that follows the 6:1 is small enough that we have decided to just get rid of it (Mechanically, is not convenient for the contractor to make that 4:1 slope). As you can see, Point 4 and Point 6 have only one constraint which is Slope. I want those lines to keep the same slope when reaching the Vertical Point Control, when I add a Horizontal Constraint as the Second Constraint, the point freaks out and connects to the point control in very odd ways. Without messing the slope of the rest of the XS's by adding a horizontal constraint, how can I indicate the template to make the 4:1 to zero? (6:1 then the ditch).

Any help or references I can look at are highly appreciated.

Thank you,

(Easy question?) Recently, we had created a terrain and we found some trouble spots in it, like points connecting to other points where it should not connect. We understand how to fix these issues but we wanted to get a more realistic look of the terrain that we have so we can easily detect these defects. Is there a way to fill the "Triangles" so that the design here looks like a surface of sorts? Instead of just lines?

Let me know what approaches or tools I can use for this issue.

Working with Civil Cells is still new for us. Currently, while doing edits to the templates and cells, we found that the edge of the civil cell is slightly more elevated than the edge of the main road, which was expected singe there's a difference in grades between the roads. Our question is, how can we edit the civil cell to follow the edge of the road to "snap" on the vertical elevation of the main road? We've tried using a point control but is not working the way we want it to work. I drew the red line in the second image to show where the civil cell stands on top of the main road template.

What else should we try or look at to the able to edit the civil cells so they follow the templates better?

Thank you for your time and patience!

Currently, we have been trying to generate a Station Offset Report using the tool "Point Feature Station Offset Elevation Report" and have been successful in using the tool. We understand that there's several types of report templates to choose from! What we don't understand is how to edit a report to add or eliminate certain columns. We are happy with the template "StationOffsetNorthingEastingElevationFeature.xsl" but all that we are missing is the "description" column that we can find in other reports but not on the template report we are happy with. Does anyone know how to do this action for editing or creating offset reports?

Currently, I am done plotting some Civil Cells intersections at a project. I used a matchline to cut the end conditions and shoulders of the main road to place the civil cells.

Recently, we were brut forcing the modeling intersections in our project until we learned about Civil Cells. We have found them easy to edit and place, but we found that in some cases, the terrain moves and it causes some weird distortions in our model. In this case, the return on the North End of the following picture, the terrain moved. I added a point control to the Edge of Pavement of the return template so it could follow the proposed return line more closely, after it was done processing, the terrain just decided to move. The terrain did not move when I did the same process for the other return template. Is there a way to "anchor" the terrain so it doesn't move or distort?

Please let me know if there's a way to solve this problem. I can provide more pictures and settings if possible!

I've dropped a template in a new alignment, and I have found that in some spots, the template decides to unexpectedly do some decisions of its own. As you can see in the following images, we want the bottom of the backslope to follow a vertical point control. The point from the template that is supposed to follow this vertical point control, either stops before or stops after the point, disregarding where it should be. Another problem that we've come across, is the end condition not extending and connecting to the active terrain model. We had set up the end condition starting right at the end of the backslope, so when the terrain is above this point, it would create a ditch, and when the terrain is below, it would follow a 4:1 slope. As you can see in this example, it creates the ditch even when the terrain is below the point.

We have tried most of our options to fix this problem, even though is in certain spots, we believe this could add up to create a significant error in our model. Does anyone have an approach that we can follow to fix this problem? I can share more information of the template if needed.

Thank you for all your time!
