We seems to be able to do it one by one, but not in batch????

Did I miss something? I was under the impression this was like a default out of the box thing we can do?

I just started to go deeper in PW, and I have this error when I isntalled ProjectWise Administrator on windows server 2008 r2,

When I start PW Admin the interface tells me that "MMC could not create the snap-in" and it's pretty much useless to be honest.

I'm using PWAdmin versión 100003140 and PW Integration Server version 100003140

I'm attaching a picture so you can check it out.

I'm on the step of searching the best system for my company to do our work (we are a recycling company).

One of the prior thing we want is the ability to force the people to correctly name each files they put in.

Here is how we want the naming to show :

OPPPPP-AAA-DTTT-SSSSSS_RV

O is the origin of the document (A for our company, X for external, so it need to be a choice for the employee)

PPPPP is the project Number (so it is staying the same on each project)

AAA is the plant Area or the work package Number (another choice to be done)

D is the discipline (another choice to be done)

TTT is the document type (so again choice)

SSSS is a unique sequential number within the preceding part assignations

R is the revision number

V is the version letter

and OPPPPP-AAA-SSSSSS_RV for work package specification

O is the origin of the document (A for our company, X for external, so it need to be a choice for the employee)

PPPPP is the project Number (so it is staying the same on each project)

AAA is the work package number

SSSS is a unique sequential number within the preceding part assignations

R is the revision number

V is the version letter

So it is possible to do this kind of auto naming by picking choice for some? We don't want anyone name they file like they want because we perfectly know how its gonna end. By forcing everyone to name correctly their files we will be sure that each files gonna be easy to find during a search!

thanks in advance for your help in our choice in a system to work with!

searching for files that have apostrophes

All,

I want to define a search that finds the latest document with a certain state, in this case "Shared" or "superseded - shared". The solution offered in this thread (https://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/content_management/f/content-management-forum/126086/searching-for-latest-revision-of-a-specific-state/396972#396972), searching for the current version, does not work unfortunately, as any document with a more recent WIP version is not returned.

Is there a way to search for all document versions with a certain state, and then return only the most recent one? This could be either an active version or a superseded version.

I have attached a screenshot of the search build that only finds the most recent shared version of the document, if the document has no WIP version. If the document does have a WIP version, the state of the shared version is changed to "superseded - shared". The OR group searches for those documents, but returns none when searching for the current version.
