My background is 7 yrs with Alabama DOT starting out in the field as a construction inspector, gradually transitioning into the design group. Started out using Intergraph TDP for the Vax. With Intergraph based in Huntsville, AL; ALDOT was their guinea pig and biggest client. For a few years I also taught board drafting, Microstation V4 and AutoCAD R12 at a technical college. I then spent the next 7 yrs working for a consultant in Pensacola FL using Microstation and Geopak for FDOT transportation/civil site/survey work and AutoCAD/LDD for civil site work.
I have been in my current position as Sr Designer with Atkins (SNC Lavalin) for 22 years. With our main clients being Georgia DOT and the local county DOT's, we currently use OpenRoads Designer.
