Wondering if it is possible to measure the stress/strain intervals in CRS soil function.

Currently using SSC model for modelling of clays and would like to analyse the relaxation states at certain points in the loading stage. However, when doing this, the numerical data does not match the experimental data, as it plateaus instead of a slight decrease in stress before plateau and before the next load applied.

How is it possible to do this?

How would I modelling of stress/strain relaxation of clays in the CRS soil test function?

Hi,

I am wondering how it would be possible to analyse stress/strain relaxation in the CRS soil-test-facility in PLAXIS 3D?

I am currently using the Soft soil creep model and used the optimise parameter function to match with the lab data. However, when running the test, the strain increment value is "0" at start of relaxation but the output just shows a plateau. Whereas, the lab data shows a small decrease before plateau. How would is be possible to model this?

Also, how would I be able to analysis the pore pressure/suction of this while doing so?

Any suggestions??

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.
