I am using Staad Pro Advanced Connect Edition.

I am trying to analyse a plate with multiple holes. To accomplish this task I am using the structure wizard

module for polygonal plate with holes under surface or plate models. I have successfully created the model and

after several failed attempts at transferring this item into the Staad.Pro via the 'merge Model with Staad.Pro

Model' under the file menu, I've saved the .stp file for later access. After selecting the merge command, I am

prompted whether I would like to merge this prototype with my current STAAD.Pro model. After clicking yes,

however, the module disappears but the 'Paste Prototype Model' dialog box which is outlined in the tutorial never

appears. Also Staad.Pro remains inactive and an error is given that it is occupied by another application.

As earlier mentioned, I have saved this .stp file and attempted a work-around by now importing this earlier created

file into Staad.Pro directly via the Import/export command in the file menu of Staad.pro. This also failed at

the Cis2Link dialog with an error stating "PART/21 file does not contain an analysis model. Terminating

import..."

I should also mention that I have successfully loaded the .stp file within the Structure Wizard module and viewed it as originally created with no apparent issues.

Please advise on best course of action for executing an import of this. I can provide the file(s) if needed for your

examination.

Thanks in advance for you attention.

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.

Cable stayed bridge analysis

Hello sir/mam,

I am post graduate student in structural engineering.

I am doing my mini project . And analysing a cable stayed bridge. But having some difficulties and constant errors.

please help me resolve this issue.

Errors are

1. WARNING:Section fails while designing section: 0.0 mm Exceeds maximum. permissible tensile steel %

2.WARNING:Section fails while detailing No bar is available for reinforcement

3WARNING:Section fails while designing section: 0.0 mm
Nominal shear force exceeds tauc_max limit

I am attaching my std file along with it. Suggest me the necessary changes.
