Is there a trick to moving sheets up and down in the Sheet Index? It appears that ORD will only allow new sheets to be added to the bottom of the index. Is anyone else running into this issue?

Custom Borders

What is the best way to create custom borders for special scenarios such as for exhibits, or marketing/proposals?

It seems that the named boundaries pull the border cells from a shared location on my local C drive, so I cant just customize the border in the .cel file.

Has anyone had any experience doing this? Thanks

Openroads labels in rotated view

When I place labels using the place note with leader tool and using the text favorites the leader line is rotating based on the unrotated view.

I have looked into the other Bentley Communities and found many people having the same issue but no solutions other than this is just the way it is now.

Anyone encountered this and found a way to have the leader line be inline with the text rather than true north?

Hello all. I can't seem to figure out why my in-line leader always seems to align with my unrotated (North) view. See the image below.

My understanding is that we are moving away from using motif files. Per the most recent FDOT CADD training videos, your plan sheets for example, reside in a single PLANRD01.dgn file as separate models, and the file also acts as your motif for that series of plan sheets. Is this an accurate statement?

Creating ORD 3D deliverables

Good morning all,

I was previously a 2D, SS10 designer for municipal jobs only, now transitioning into FDOT projects in FDOT Connect/ORD and 3D modeling.

What is the acceptable format for delivery of 3D models/BIM information? I am getting familiar with IFC file format and iModel file format.

My current understanding is that those two are 3D deliverables for other disciplines and contractors, as references for their designs, asbuilts, etc.

So does the dept. require these files in their submittal packages, or are we sending them solely our DGNs.

Trying my best to find answers in the CADD manual and FDM, but this is all so new to everyone, and the standards aren't fully established yet.

Has anyone had any experience with 3D submittals to the dept. and can you offer any guidance?
