&lt;p&gt;During hammer simulation two issues occured:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1- the pressure , the first 400 sec&amp;nbsp; in simulation HGL fluctuate near the upper value - max pressure (No.1), after that HGL moves to position No.2 for little time then it moves to position No.3 till the end of the simulation (1200 sec).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2- when&amp;nbsp;I reduce time interval of simulation from 0.05 sec to 0.01 sec the vapor volume disappears.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Kindly&amp;nbsp;I need illustration for possible causes for these events.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I would like to inquire about the closure of valve 2 or 3 which is an intermediate valve on a transmission line, hammer effect from various aspects:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1- Is it essential to study&amp;nbsp;this valve closure effect in hammer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2- Can the closure of this valve sudden closure and if what is the case that will cause this?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3- Will the surge vessel contribute in the protection of the line after valve ?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4- Generally in water hammer simulation is valve closure modeled separately from pump failure or in combination?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I would like to share a model for pipe line i want to make protection from hammer using dipping tube and vacuum breaker to get the -ve pressure below -0.5 bars. Although I tried different volumes and position for the tank and the breaker, still the -ve pressure on the control valve remains&amp;nbsp; out of range.&lt;/p&gt;
