Which is the best way to model rebar reinforcement by using only MicroStation Connect Edition

Hello,

Could you please advise me the way to model rebar reinforcement for concrete by using only MicroStation Connect Edition.

I think ProSteel, ProConcrete or ProStructrure are better, but it's also expensive for small project.

Please help to guide me the efficient way to extrude solid to surface of another solid.

For example, I need to extrude the pile from its bottom elevation to bottom surface of deck (the deck is not flat).

How to print/create pdf with geographic coordinate system in order to attach into another drawing as raster?

Hello,

Please guide me how to create/print pdf with geographic coordinate system in order to attach into another drawing as raster.

My purpose is:

Due to printing drawing containing WMS image (Web mapping server) is very slow, I want to clip the area where I need, and print it to pdf with geographic coordinate system.

After that, I attach this pdf into another drawings as raster (right location with geographic coordinate system) for purpose of printing quickly.

How can I do that? Thank you in advance.

Copy parallel with "portion of element" is not working

I have an issue with copy parallel by using "portion of element" in order to offset one line (referred by other file to this file)

Nothing was offset when I click the first point and second point?

Can not cut parametric solid by complex shape

Hi all,

I'm using OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition - 2020 Release 3 - Version 10.14.04.04

When I use the cutting solid by circle shape or rectangular shape, it's working normally.

However, I have an issue that I can not cut solid by complex shape as picture below, and I don't know the reason to solve this issue.

I have attached my dgn.file for your review as below:

How to make flatten with the defined user ACS?

Hi everyone,

I'm using OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition - 2020 Release 3 - Version 10.14.04.04

I have a question relating to flatten tool in "Curves -> Curver Utilities -> Flatten"

I defined user ACS and turned on ACS Plane Lock,

Next step, I use Flatten tool to make flatten with my defined user ACS, but It's not working correctly with my defined ACS.

The software makes the flatten as same as XY, YZ or XZ plane of global ACS (not defined user ACS activated)

Could you please guide how to make flatten with the defined user ACS?

And, Is the Flatten tool only working with global ACS?

How to select the first point of boundary for stitch mesh by "bridge mesh"?

In mesh tool, when I using "stitch into mesh" by "bridge mesh"

the software recommends to "select the first point on the boundary", but I don't know which element to select. I tried to extract boundary of mesh and picked this boundary, but nothing worked as picture below:
