I have been following the Bentley Learn link for "Under the Hood - Setting up Sheets - Part 1 and 2" to set-up our sheets for the first time.

Iv'e created my Drawing Seed, Sheet Seed, Border Drawing, my config variables point to the correct seed files, and I'm using my dgnlib file to create my Named Boundaries.

When I get to the Create Drawing dialog, the OK button is grayed out and the Drawing Model>Seed Model: in listed is red, hovering over it doesn't give me any info on the error. See attached.

What is the error about? The seeds are listed properly in my config file.

I have an alignment and have three profile views: Centerline and right and left side curblines. Maybe I'm already doing this wrong, but I'm drawing my existing/proposed utilities in these profile views. The centerline profile worked great, I used Civil Accudraw to place everything at correct stations etc.

When I moved to the curbline profiles to start drawing, I am noticing a discrepancy in the stationing. All the profile attributes, the profile reports, the labeling within the profile window all make sense, but Civil Accudraw is off by exactly 71' when I try to draw something. I've attached a pictures of both the curb profile and CL profile. The only differences between the CL versus the curb profiles is that I projected another profile for curbs for sidewalk elevations and then I drew the proposed curb profile and copied it to the other profile.

I realize that this is my doing....but where would it have happened? and How?

Thanks in advance.

Self-Teaching using Bentley Learn.

Getting used to Feature Definitions and Symbologies for the first time.

I have made it as far as creating my horizontal geometry, and offsetting for my edges of bit and curb back. Everything is "smart" graphics created with OpenRoads tools.

We typically use both the existing curbline elevations as well as the sidewalk elevations to design our profile.

I can get the exisitng curbline to plot in the profile view, but I can't seem to get an additional profile for the sidewalk to plot correctly.

I've tried using the "Project Profile To Element" tool, but I don't think I'm doing it correctly.

Is there a different way to do this? I don't think I'm totally understanding it.

Having a little difficulty with the display of my line work over my raster aerial photo.

Previously, my line work (whatever color) would show up as I expected. Now the same file, same settings (AFAIK), same color table, the line work displays with a sort of "mask" of white around it, presumably to make it show up better....but it's actually the opposite....it looks terrible. It's predominantly on the "angled" line work not as bad on the horizontal and vertical stuff.

We have Black Background -> White option ON (So, yes, all of our "0" color lines should be black)

After a little research I found I can adjust the "masking" color by adjusting the RGB of the "B" color in the color, but of course when I change it to black, it stays white. Also, if it's any other color, then the line work switch's to white.....

This has got to be a setting I am missing somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.
