You can safely right-click the "Install" key and select New > String Value. Name it "ShowDesktopNotifications" (without quotes) and accept. Once created, double-click it in the right pane and add value "False" (without quotes).

This may be an "old school" method but I solved this through a User Command File. I placed the following variables in our Organization cfg file: MS_UCM > $(_USTN_ORGANIZATION)ucm/ MS_INIT = SectionCallout.ucm Then I made a text file called SectionCallout…

Find your Settings -> Locks. On my computer there's a little lock icon in the very lower-right of my MicroStation window. One of the options there is "Level Lock". This is not a locked level. This is a "lock" that will only allow you to manipulate elements…

I had gotten started at one point to create cell libraries of all the steel shapes available from the Steel MDL (Because that won't be available moving forward) but the sheer volume quickly overwhelmed the free time I had to do it. I know that we can…

I've managed to get used to the GUI but the performance is still sub-v8i. The implementation of the old shortcuts doesn't seem to me to work too well. The reaction from our staff has been universally negative and I'm not looking forward to forcing them…
