I started in CADD on an Intergraph 68k workstation in Dec. of 1982. (They were 2 monochrome screens then). I have progressed through all versions of Intergraph since 8.5 & Bentley starting with Pseudostation. My background is in Bridge design but since I was first on CADD I have been involved in Bridges, Subways, Boston's "Big Dig" project, various Bus, Transit & Rail Facilities, mainly Structural but some Civil design.
I was sent for 3D training at Intergraph in Huntsville in 1984. Played around with 3D Visualization and was finally formally trained by Jerry Flynn in 2000. I won a Bentley 2003 Success award for "Best Use of Visualization" and dabbled in it since.
I am a member of the Greater Philadelphia MicroStation Community.
I am currently the MicroStation Support person for all M-Sta. users in my company, with over 50 regional offices (mainly in US but some Intl.).
I was amazed then and I am still being amazed by how fast technology is evolving. I'm just trying to keep-up with the technology and ideas and pass that along to my users!
PS - I have an additional login "GFRadar" to BE Communities.
I am active in the user community and User Group. I am also active in the community where I live along with my Lodge and Shrine as a Clown (A Masonic organization) helping to support the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Everyone should give a little of their talent back to their community!
