Microstation Cell Library

Hi,

I see a new phenomenon which never happened to me before. Cells sometimes lose all nested cells in them. It is puzzling.

I copied a cell library which I wanted to update from the network to a folder in the local drive. Then I attached the cell library on the local folder and edited some cells. I then copied the cell library back it to the network location. When I load MicroStation I see that some cells have lost all the nested cells. If I attach the cell library on the local drive it is fine. The size and modified date of both the cell libraries are exactly the same, Something happens to the cell library when copied to another location. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Configuration Setup of MS_CELL

I am using MicroStation CONNECT 10.13.01.01 on Windows 10.

The setting for MS_CELL keeps changing back to a previously set value.

I have Microstation Workset setup (TEST) on a network. The TEST.CFG has MS_CELL set up to look at two folders (Z:/Microstation/ALL/Cell/;Z:/Microstation/SPECIAL/cell/). I looked at the TEST.cfg file and see that it is set correctly. I have not set MS_CELL in the personal.ucf file. When I load Microstation the MS_CELL reverts to a folder I used some time ago i.e. it is set to MS_CELL=C:/Cell Library/. When I check my workset configuration with key in MDL LOAD CFGVARS WORKSET TEST I see that it has changed to MS_CELL=C:/Cell Library/. Why? It has been driving me crazy. Where is Microstation getting this value (C:/Cell Library/) from? Can someone help me?

Enter Data Field

I am using Microstation Connect v10.4.0.46. I have been trying to edit ENTER DATA FIELD in a cell. No matter what I do it doesn't seem to work. I chose the Fill-in Single Enter-Data Field command. I get prompt to Identity element. I identity the EDF element in the cell. I get a dialog box with text boxes for Length, Value (which has the value of EDF I picked), drop-down for Justification with commands for Drop, OK and Cancel. I over-write the Value text box and click on OK. The dialog box disappears and the value remains the same as it was before, Is there something I am doing wrong? I tried the help, but that didn't help. I would like this to work the same way as it did in Microstation 8i. Does anyone know how this will work.

I don't see the font installer in V8i. How and where do I get the old version and install it?
