Annotating Civil Cells in cross sections in OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition

I have a corridor that I use civil cells for driveways and Tee intersections at both ends. I need to cut cross section at centerline of each driveway. Also I like to see my cross slopes at both ends of my corridor where I have my T intersection civil Cells. In SS4 I was able to select the civil cell terrain in my filters but in OpenRoads designer I am not sure how to accomplish this task since you could only pick template points and civil cells only have surface templates. ProjectWise - Data Storage Limits

Are there limits for Projectwise storage? Example: can the projectwise hold more than 5 TB of data?

Is there any limits to retrieving data from projectwise, for example: point clouds larger than 100 GB?

when i cut a section , the 3D model reference is attached whit a smoth shadow presentation, i have to change the properties of the reference and reload it to get a wireframe presentation.

MicroStation Connect Edition - Font won't load

All my fonts are being replaced by simplex and I keep receiving the following message:

"could not find SHX font [DOT-23 (Existing)]. Replaced missing SHX font [DOT-23 (Existing)] with [simplex.bigfont]. Some text may not display correctly. Make sure that the appropriate SHX font file (*.shx) is present in a directory specified in MS_FONTPATH or MS_DWGFONTPATH."

NOTE: I Have an RSC file that is loaded and the MS_FONTPATH is directed to it. Within the that RSC file, these fonts exist. I checked via the fontutilities dialog. The RSC will load and have all the fonts listed, but THEY don't even look correct. They all look as if they're simplex font. Am I missing something?

Projectwise Design Integration vs ProjectWise 365

What's the difference between Projectwise Design Integration and Projectwise 365?

Are they interoperable? For example, can I go through a web browser to Projectwise 365 and it will bring up my project from Projectwise Design Integration or is it separate cloud software? Does Projectwise Design Integration have the same tools as Projectwise 365? Last, can you review and mark up files/models without opening up the DGN through MicroStation? I've seen this feature with PDFs but haven't seen or heard about model files.

EAV table not displaying on every Cross Section

Hey,

Has anyone else ran into this problem? I'm using the same cross section annotation on every one of my models, and sometimes the EAV table populates and other times the EAV table does not populate on the cross section. It will be along the same alignment, same model file, just sometimes the EAV table shows up and other times it does not.

Update: this appears to be happening for surface templates and linear templates. It works fine with a corridor - is there something specific that I have to do to my surface templates for it to reference the alignment?

Any suggestions?

Open Roads - Sheet Seed Definition Recommendations?

I am creating a standards library and setting up Sheet Seed Definition files. I understand the process - but I need to make MANY sheet sizes at varying scales. (ANSI A-E, Scale 20-50) for different types (i.e. profile, plan, etc.).

So my question is - is the best workflow to create a separate Sheet DGNLIB for each sheet and scale size? Or is it okay to create multiple scale sizes in the same dgnlib? OR... Should I create all the sheet models and scale sizes for example a plan drawing in one dgnlib?

Just looking for recommendations that would make the most sense. All replies appreciated - thanks!

Cross Section Sheets Annotation

I am struggling with the annotation in my cross section sheets. I have a lot of questions, listed below, if I can get answers to any one of them that would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a sample of my XS.

1. I have the same template drop for my corridor. EVERY segment for annotation is turned on without any expressions. On the right, notice between the two cross sections, one slope is annotated and the other is not. I can not determine why this is happening.

2. Larger scale, I don't understand why the material component is appearing in my cross section. Especially for the ditch - the template is being used on the left side of the roadway, and the material is NOT showing there. Why could this be happening?

3. Not pictured, but I can not get any annotation to appear when using surface templates. I'm trying the simple point annotation (station and offset), calling out the point names directly and they don't show. Is there a different annotation for this?

4. When writing expressions - I'm trying to get everything to annotation except for a specific segment. I don't understand how to call out that sement, i tried using NOT pointname1 = "EOP", but everything still appears. Am I doing something incorrectly with that?

5. What is the best way to identify the end points to be added to the annotation for point naming with Sta/Off. For example, my usual workflow is to view the dynamic cross section, select station edit and view the template it is using. But then I realize it is only calling out the one template used and not the corridor next to it. So I adjust for the ditch corridor, and add the specific point name to be annotated - but nothing shows up.

Any insight, even on proper workflows for annotating would be appreciated. I've spent a lot of time on different forums, and watching videos on Bentley sites - but nothing seems to address my issues.

DGNWS for Sheet Index

I'm trying to copy only the Sheet Index from a previous Workset. I am following the workflow for creating a new Workset, where you would select a template as shown below. The problem with this is that it ALSO sets up my root folder and design files location and I DON'T want that as my default location. I know this is established by the USTN settings, but is there a way where i can ONLY copy the sheet index over to my new Workset. I don't need anything else associated with the previous Workset.

One other thought...

If I already have a project created with DGN files, workset/workspaces established. Is there a way to copy a sheet index to that existing project/workset?

OpenRoads - WorkSet Location

For obvious reasons, projects are stored on a different location for our company's server. Does the WorkSet have to be in the WorkSpace folder?? Can I move this to a different location for existing projects?

OpenRoads - Civil Organization Standards

I have multiple civil organization standards for different clients. Is there a way to switch between the different standard upon opening OpenRoads? When I launch OpenRoads, it only defaults to one set of standards and I can only select the workspaces specific to that standard.

Sheet Seed missing buttons from Create Drawing Dialog

I'm setting up a sheet seed dgnlib, and am coming across a problem with the Create Drawing Dialog box. (See image below). I am missing an option to select my sheet seed model, as well as specifying the discipline and purpose. Has anyone come across this before?

I can't move forward with the proper sheet size because of this.

OpenBuildings for Water Line, Fire Hydrants, and Power Line

This is just a general question if OpenBuildings has this capability: can you create fire hydrants, water lines and power lines a part of a Building Site in OpenBuildings?

I'm a new user to OpenBuildings and the project that I am working on is all done in this software. My background is Civil - so I'm unaware of the software's capabilities. I need to make BIM models of these items and want to make sure the software has the capability before buying it.

Any feedback would be great! Thanks!
