&lt;p&gt;I am using ram connection CS- HSS end plate column splice to design my splice with AISC code.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the geometry section, it limits thickness of end plates to maximum 1in. I wonder what&amp;#39;s the reason behind this.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My column is PIP299x14. Plate will be in Q235 material.&lt;/p&gt;
