What's New

The following summarizes the new features and enhancements in OpenRoads ConceptStation

Clean up unused levels.
Better support of data from Local Coordinate Systems (Transform model).
Different Design Options in same file.
Traffic flow
Template remapping to design ITL.
Add a property in Train Animation to allow reverse direction.
Allow edit of imported alignments that start/end with an arc.
Spirals are dropped whenever Spiral Length is set to zero. (Roads-only)
Maintain constant angle between paving and shoulders in Superelevation.
Add tooltip to display which template is currently in use within Intersections, Ramp connections and Roundabouts.

Import/Export

Error when kicking off a new file and the Geospatial Services are accessed

When trying to create a New File and the GeoSpatial Services are accessed, an error message is received about “addEventListener” and the map is not displayed.

Resolution:
This is a known issue with Updates 7, 8, and 9. By upgrading to Update 10 (or Update 11 that was just released last Friday) would fix this issue, considering the user is correctly affiliated with Bentley IMS. If the user is NOT affiliated (so likely in Trial mode), or if for any reasons you can`t upgrade to Updates 10 or 11, then the following option to edit the Registry is the right one to do.

The user can add a value to his HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION key. ConceptStation.exe, and a DWORD value of 11001 (given the user have Internet Explorer 11). See values below if you are on different IE than 11.

What's New

The following summarizes the new features and enhancements in OpenRoads ConceptStation:

Bug fixes
Transition length now based on road speed. It does not adjust if the speed is changed and only works on undivided roadways.
Parallel Ramp Template
Ramp redesign so ramp can fit into limited space
Smarter placement of Street Marking
Sub-surface transitions
The user can use the ^ character in place of degree (°) when entering a fixed Direction in the Place Road HUD.
Export

- Option to export to VISSIM without intersection connectors
- Only one ALG file is exported for both Road and Rail

Cost Report

- Reporting per alignment in Excel
- Bridge Deck is now in Square Foot instead of Volume
- Adding Wearing Surface for Structure
