Is there a way to delete template components without deleting the points associated to them?

Explorer and Properties not loading in OBM

I can not load my Explorer dialog box or my Properties dialog box. When I try I get the following error message:

Loader: Could not load application C:\Users\brownj2\AppData\Local\Temp\Bentley\OpenBridgeModeler\10.0.0_1\AddInLoader1.0\Bentley.ECUISupport.ma

Any help would be appreciated!

Workspace/Workset Set Up

My company is in the preliminary stages of incorporating Open Rail for future projects. I am trying to learn the basics of setting up a workspace and a workset that we can use once the projects start. We will not be using ProjectWise. I've found some information on this site explaining the function of the workspace/workset, but I have not been able to find detailed info on the process of setting it up. I need to be able to drop in the cell libraries, level libraries etc. so when the designers begin working with this software they have what they need. Does Bentley's training information cover this in detail, if so where can I find this. If not what would be my best option to learn how this works.

We use to be able to delete some corrupted elements (because that do happen with corridor element and or civil geometry) using the command key-in "civil display browser" but now it only display bad elements. Now what is the way to do?

SS3 Cross section Annotation; Leader Lines

Is there a way to create custom leader lines for annotating cross sections in Geopak SS3? Currently I am using cells that I created associated with the feature lines built into the template. They display in certain areas instead of the default "X". It works well, however, it has significantly bogged down the process of cutting cross sections and navigating through the model.

Hi,

I've just had this error start to occur on a model that I have been working on. I have looked through the helps but unfortunately have not found a solution. So Im wondering anyone else has come across this problem.

"OBJECT REFERENCE NOT SET TO AN INSTANCE OF AN OBJECT"

Unable to view corridor feature point list from target corridor

When I create a corridor feature point control, selecting through the drop down list, I'm unable to view the target point list. It only shows the active corridor template point list. I'm using ORD update 3.

InRoads Suite V8i (ss2) crash

I don't understand why my system keeps crashing when I run InRoads Suite V8i (ss2).

My system is Windows 7 Professional, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.2GHz, with 4.00GB Ram and

32-bit Operating System. Any ideas or suggestions?

templates and proposed dtms

Is there a reason that pavement layers (or retaining walls, etc.) need to be closed shapes other than pulling quantities? When I use a shape for my top paving layer I can't exclude it from the top and bottom mesh so when I create a proposed dtm file it often picks up points on the bottom of the pavement shape that override my slope (end condition) corridors and creating a distortion in the model. But if use lines to create the top surface in the template I can exclude everything but the top of pavement from the meshes and it comes out much cleaner.

Created Complex Terrain Model, delete previous surfaces?

Hi,

I have created a Complex Terrain Model in PowerCivil with different XMLs (some places it overlaps), merging them, should I delete them after the merge in 1? If yes, how I can select them, now I can only select the merged terrain despite Setting Active the previous ones for individual delete.
