Is there a fix to labels which lost association, after the reference file is re-attached?

We recently came across an issue, we accidentally detached and re-attached the alignment file and all the labels lost association in open roads designer. Is there a way to re-associate all the labels?

Edit:

I used the Place label tool and placed a label with a text favorite by choosing the alignment. When this alignment file got detached all the text which was associated to this alignment broke. When I move the text around after re attaching the alignment file, it displays the DEFAULT text, used to create the text favorite, in the .dgnlib or .cel file.

Is there a way to draw a line at a certain station and offset within the referenced profile view in ORD?

My alignment are profile are in ALGNRD01 file. I referenced my alignment file into a different .dgn file called MOTIF

In the MOTIF file I opened the profile view of the alignment and I am trying to draw a line at certain station offset.

I understand that I can do it in the ALGNRD01 file and it will show up in the reference. In this case I do not have access to the alignment file. I want to know if I can can somehow draw a line (or at least a data point) at a certain station offset within the referenced profile view within the MOTIF file.

Is there a way to create a report for proposed cross slopes for a newly built corridor?

I am trying to create a lane slopes report for the corridor I created. I ran the "Result Report" but it doesn't show me any proposed slopes?

Does it have to do with the point names I am using in my template?

Where can I find these standard point names and can I edit these point names to match the point names I created in my template?

Named Boundaries and Plan Production

We are having some issues with understanding the ORD Plan Production tool set and controlling level overrides in the drawing or sheet models. When we create a series of plan and profile sheets, we start with a fresh 2D seed file, reference in the necessary reference files, turn on/off levels or set level overrides for the plan set’s needs in the design model, and then use the ORD Named Boundaries workflow to create the drawing models and sheet models.

The problem that we are having is none of the level overrides are being honored in the resulting drawing or sheet models. Additionally, if we need to make any changes to the level on/off settings or additional level overrides from the host design model, none of these changes are dynamically shown on the drawing or sheet models.

We typically have hundreds of plan and profile sheets for projects and having to manually set the level on/off or overriding symbology is not a workflow option. Our preferred workflow would be to have a single design model used for controlling all of the sheet model level settings.

Is this a known problem with ORD Plan Production? Thanks in advance for any help.

Annotation Groups ORD

I'm having issues with cross section labeling using the XS Annotation Group. It seems as though only certain slope %s get picked up to be labeled. Is there a simple way to add these slope labels to the annotation group library? Or even to manually label the XS.

Curb Ramp Ovals

I am looking to start placing the annotation for the CCR Ramps and can't find a good way to place the annotation. The CADD Manual shows a cell but it isn't in the current cell library. Any ideas on the best way to place this?

Printing sheets in ORD

Multiple profiles on one sheet model

Can I create multiple profile views (different alignments) in one sheet model? One of the project I am working on has a lot of small side streets and I am trying to fit 4 profiles on one sheet. Do I have to create a new sheet seed and annotation grid and group?

Remove Interval Error

How to stop references in drawing models from shifting?

We have noticed if named boundaries are moved or adjusted the drawing model references shift.

Is this new version 10.09 considered a beta version? If so, we should all be nervous. I noticed in the first versions of ORD the drawing model references weren't even in the correct location when Bentley was trying to promote the software back in 2018. I brought it up at a conference, stating to them this software is not usable if coordinate data is unreliable. There was little concern , stating the label tools would produce the correct data. Since then the new versions created drawing models in the correct location, but if you adjust the named boundary in the default model or a container file the drawing model references using the named boundary still shift. Causing us to constantly check the drawing model references. I am very concerned a small adjustment in matchlines could cause a shift and we won't catch it. Large projects have hundreds of sheets , this can be an overwhelming number of files to manage and QC.

Is there any solution to this problem?

Geometry update based on update in Alignment.

I built geometry based on an alignment. I moved the alignment 3.5'. The geometry should shift along with the alignment right?
When I open the design file, where I have all my geometry, the geometry doesn't move. The inside edge of pavement (EOP) on either side of the alignment is at 11' offset from the alignment. When I select the EOP the offset shows up as 11' but when I measure the distance it is 14.5', the geometry did not move. Is there a way to refresh the geometry?
I tried to change the offset to a different number, lets' say 11.5', the EOP shifts but after the change it won't change the offset, even if I enter a different value.

Profile Sheet : Vertical alignment(MOTIF) got detached from drawing model (do not know the reason)

I have created a MOTIF file, which has both plan and profile information. I created separate name boundaries from my plan and profile and cut the sheets into a different .dgn.
The MOTIF file reference in each of my profile sheets turned red and do not show the vertical alignment anymore. When I hover over the attachment in the reference dialogue box it says "Model Not Found - [Attached Long Section]". I checked my motif file and it seems like the name boundaries I created for the profile sheets got deleted.

Is there a way I can fix this issue, without having to re-cut the profile sheets how can I make the existing profile drawing models to find the MOTIF profile model?

Profile named boundaries broken

The profile named boundaries occasionally get "broken" without any apparent reason. The profile group in the named boundaries manager becomes empty but the group is in the "other groups". That makes the profile annotation drawings and sheets useless ie We need to cut and annotate them again -30 of them. Is there a reason for that and a fix? Or maybe a better workflow. For instance keeping named boundaries in separate files? We keep the drawings and sheets separate from design model file. But the named boundaries are in the design model.

XS Annotation Group

Hello,

I updated my XS annotation group in the .dgnlib file at this location (C:\FDOTConnect\Organization-Civil\FDOT\Dgnlib\Feature Definitions)

But when I cut my cross sections, it doesn’t reflect all the changes I made.

How can I make the software recognize the changes I made and reflect it on my XS?
