Curved model even after calibration

How to fix model if it is curved even reusing calibration. Without calibration the model is curved inwards but even applying calibration slight curvature is still there. Adding GCPs seems to fix the curvature but the camera parameters stay the same.

How to apply the undistortion parameters from model with GCPs to calibration?

Aerotriangulation image pose adjustment setting not working (Update 15)

Hi, I have a set of images with accurate image pose acquired by RTK GPS. I imported the images and image position and it looks good. Then I ran Aerotriangulation with adjustment setting to hold image position and it fails to hold the image position. Any idea why and when Contextcapture ignores the image position? this set of images have sub centimeter horizontal and vertical accuracy. I've attached some screenshots for reference.

Any comment would be greatly appraciated!

Why does my focal length change for the same camera in different photogroup?

I'm using Sony A7R II with 28mm lens and I'm curious why my focal length change slightly? it's a prime lens and manufacturer spec says it's 28mm and the aero-triangulation optimized the focal length in the range of 27.13mm - 27.20mm for different photogroups. Should it not always be 28mm? if my focal length is incorrect, does that error propagate to the accuracy of the result?

CC with Phantom 4 RTK and distorted images (distortion correction OFF) produces slanted output.

Dear community,

I have a (silly?) question regarding my slanted output. I'm fairly new to CC and I ran into the problem just recently, since I use the Phantom 4 RTK. Prior to this my results were good. In the image below you can see an example, where the model is 1.5m higher on the left while in reality this isn't the case. I use acurate GCP's, in this case 5. I compared the results with pix4dmapper and there I was able to generate a good leveled model.

My workflow, that worked up until this point, is the following:

Map all GCP's on 3 or more images.
Aerotriangulate
Generate the desired output

I used to work with M600 and obtained good results without any additional or alternative steps, but unfortunately this is not the case anymore.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the Phantom 4 rtk has a new camera?

Any help is much appreciated!

JobQueue directory Setting in ContextCapture

The situation is that I got a computer with ContextCapture. Users will access this computer with their ID to use CC. Every user login will create a job folder under My Documents when using CC engine. They need to change their job queue folder to a public job folder (where have 10 engines standby). Is there any method to set the default job queue folder to all user?So that the new users do not need to change the job queue folder by themselves.

Here is the problem.

I generated 3MX in local coordinate system with no geo-reference attached. it created the 3MX with just no units. not metric or imperial. just simple "units"

Then I imported into contextcapture editor to do my edits. I realize objects are much larger than it suppose to be. It scaled everything up based on contextcapture editor setting. I tried to find out what unit it may have used to convert but none seems to match.

I ended up creating the new 3MX with some dummy imperial system (which also is incorrect and potentially cause issue) and used local coordinate values.

Is there any way that I can set the default unit to feet or meters so that when I import it to editor it won't scale everything up by unknown value?

How is a coordinate system set in ContextCapture Editor? I select "attach and apply Gegraphic Coordinate system" when importing the reality model. However the model isnt displayed and the x and y are nowhere close to what the coordinates should be. Any help would be appreciated.

Ground control points format edit

I receive GCP's in variety of formats from the field surveys. the problem is that I can't really edit the GCP import format in Contextcapture. Sometimes I receive them in PNEZ format and other times it's PENZ format. Is there a function within Contextcapture that I can edit import attributes so that I can match the given format?

Also, most of GCP's that I receive is in orthometric height instead of Ellipsoidal height. Most of the time, Orthometric height is much higher than Ellipsoidal height. This results no photos being shown in display because Contextcapture thinks photos are taken at a lower elevation than the ground control points. I end up running AT with just few points and re-run it after all points are tagged.

I know there probably isn't a simple solution to this, but if we can make this work, it would save a lot of work especially on a larger projects.

Does GPS tag on image speed up the reconstruction?

I have a project with two data sets. Aerial photos from UAV with GPS tag and ground photo without GPS tag. I ran a reconstruction on contextcapture and it seems like it's taking longer than the data set with only images with GPS tag.

The two project data set isn't completely the same, so I may be wrong. But I would still like to find out if GPS coordinate on images help AT and re-construction speed. I guess it may help AT but after AT it's irrelevant?

Reconstruction failure pairwise selection

I have a vertical data set consists of approximately 400 photos taken around the building. Aerotriangulation was successful but 3MX reconstruction fails with error message "Image Pairwise selection failure".

Mobile LiDAR Point Cloud with no RGB data with aerial photos in Contextcapture

Hello, thanks to Bentley communities for great user support.

I'm working on a railroad project with mobile LiDAR point cloud with no RGB value. I also have structured aerial image data set tied with GCP. Both aerial images and mobile LiDAR are tied onto the same control network.

Because there are many thin objects like wires and steel structures, I need to utilize mobile LiDAR data to get a detailed 3D mesh. Since mobile LiDAR data only has intensity value, 3D mesh only comes in with grey color. when I try to use no color mode on the point cloud panel, it comes out black. even worse

Is there any way that I can use color from aerial images without any color mode from PC? Can I drape orthophoto over point cloud to colorize them?

any advice would be appreciated.
