I am struggling to achieve the reinforcement design I would like within the attached model- EASTERN ACCESS BRIDGE PILE CAPS FINAL.

I would like H20 bars at 200c/c in the x-direction but it will only allow H25 at 450c/c even though the maximum bar size is set to 20mm.

H20@200c/c has a greater steel area than H25@450c/c so it shouldn't be an issue.

Your help is much appreciated.

Many thankscommunities.bentley.com/.../8688.FINAL-MODEL.std

No results from cut by a plane method

Hello,

I attach my Staad model for your attention.

I am wondering why the plane I have cut does not give any values for Fx, Fy and Fxy? Also I cannot obtain a number of the outputs from the cutting plane such as global moment etc?

I am looking to obtain the shear force values along the plane shown in order to design an RC slab under the axle loading near to the support as shown.

Your help is much appreciated.communities.bentley.com/.../FINAL-MODEL.std

Cut by a plane- RC Bridge Deck

Hi,

I am having an issue using the cut by a plane function in post-processing.

I have followed the manual on cutting plane that I desire (8.25 in x). However, the nodal positions outputted seem to be completely random?

Apologies if this is straightforward, I am new to Staad. Ultimately, I am aiming to find the shear forces within the plates at mid-span to output to an RC slab design.

Have attached the staad file for reference.

Many thanks
