    Make sure you create a DPW - and not a DPF - file!! I used "NEWDPF,Profile.dpw" (explicitly give the DPW extension) and the alignment option is available.

    I've had a check of this and get the same results, I can't see any issue with the strings being used so it looks to be an issue with that tool. As a workaround you can run a Perpendicular report as below and extract the intersected point coordinates…

    No, the major change is to the OpenRoads civil model format, not to the MX model file or linemode.

    There has been no update to the MX linemode functionality in MX v8i SS4, it remains as it is in MX v8i SS3.
