First of all, many of the support files for materials from SS4 were not included in my CONNECT Edition install. I went ahead and copied them over from my SS4 Program Files to the folder for CONNECT Edition. (The highlighted files/folders in the picture represents what I had to copy over.) After copying those files/folders, the materials appear to be available in my CONNECT drawing and the previews are displaying correctly, as indicated in my second attached photo. However, when attached to an element the material is not displayed. FWIW, level overrides are toggled off in the View Attributes and the Display Style is set to "Smooth".

What I have done is take a terrain supplied by the designer and apply surface templates, both for pavement and grass. The first picture represents what it looks like in LumenRT when completing this workflow in CONNECT Edition Update 4. As you can see, the median nose is not well defined. I tried replicating this workflow using PowerGEOPAK SS4, and things looks remarkably better when exported to LumenRT. I am using the exact same terrain and materials, so why does the LumenRT visualization look much different when exporting from SS4/CONNECT? (I prefer to use CONNECT in this case, so I can incorporate a 3mx file, which I have not been able to do in SS4.)

I have a project in LumenRT and am interested in viewing it in virtual reality. However, I have no experience with VR. My understanding is that LumenRT is compatible with Google Cardboard plus fully immersive VR systems such as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vibe. Because of the significant cost difference, I want to try it out in Google Cardboard first before investing in a pricier system. Can anyone explain the workflow to take what I have produced in LumenRT and view that in Google Cardboard?

My first attempt to accomplish this is by using the "Profile Insert Curve" tool. I am able to add a PVI within a tangent section of the profile, but it does not allow me to specify a curve length or K value. Upon finishing the command, I am left with a PVI with no curve. An attempt to use the "Parabola Between Elements" tool and insert a curve after the fact is also ineffective, as it creates the curve, but that curve is a separate element from the complex profile I started with.

An attempt to use the "Insert Vertex" tool followed by the "Parabola Between Elements" tool leaves me with the same result.

The complex profile was originally created using the "Profile Complex by PVI" tool. The "Profile Insert Curve" tool works to insert curves on certain tangent sections of the complex profile, but not others. Any guidance as to why the tool only works on certain tangent sections would be helpful. When I have previously encountered this problem, my workaround has been to create a brand new profile using "Profile Complex by PVI" with the extra PVI I need to include. Unfortunately, the profile I am working with now is almost 6 miles long and recreating it would be a very tedious process.

Subsurface Utilities - Applying slope to a Flared End Section node

Can this be accomplished?
