Just a quick question regarding curtain walling. I have drawn up the model and entered all windows, doors etc into the model, however parts of the building are curtain walling only? Is the best method of entering the curtain walling by generating a new wall in the fabric properties and entering all data such as dimensions, thickness, material type and U-value etc or by leaving the wall as a standard brick wall and inputting the glass so it covers the full wall with all the relevant properties?

Thanks

Changing the data in my Hevacomp model is fine and get a different set of results in the results tab page. The compliance document however has not modified inline with the data changes and remains at the previous revision.

No parts of the model have been put as shell and core & have tried exiting the model once the changes have been made and re-entered the model to run and nothing again changes?

Is there anything I can do so the BRUKL alters to the data inputted? I haven't had this issue before.

Wanted to clarify my HVAC system type set up. The project involves an Air source heat pump feeding a heat exchanger within the plantroom which then feeds a pre heat storage vessel.

The storage vessel flows runs into the Gas fired water heaters into a hot water storage cylinder which feeds the building's hot water as the heating system is electric heating.

Within the SBEM how would the Plantroom HVAC system type be set up? Any advice on this would be great

Below is how I have the Plantroom currently set up within SBEM and also an image of the drawing.

Kitchen and Toilet area has no heating or cooling in it and the restaurant eating area has heat pumps so there should be a notional heating value within the compliance report?

Getting the Part L to Pass, however looking at the report there is no notional heating value but there is an actual heating value present. Cooling values also seem fine.

Tried it without Heat recovery and any ventilation and that seems to bring the heating value to a reasonable level, thought it could be the angle from north as to why there is no notional heat value. Is there an issue with my model?

When selecting the EPC tab an error comes up as shown by the image below.

The project has been set up by another person so unsure if there is an error in setup, but have noticed within the documents that there is a PartL2006.dat file in the folder so I have tried to delete this several times in the hope this will correct the error but with no success and there is no other option to view the EPC as said in the error box.

Just a query in how to input heat interface units into hevacomp within a Part L SBEM assessment. Currently I have inputted a plant room as its own zone with the system chosen as LTHW Boiler and Nat Gas with the DHWS also same as the heating source. The rest of the zones have also been selected as the same as the Plantroom sources heating and HWS.

Is this the correct method or is making the plantroom zone a district heating system a better method when inputting Heat interface units? Any info on this would be great

I am currently in the process of building a CWS pipe sizing model. I completed the top floor and copied the rest of the floors (6 Storey Build). After copying each floor as they are exactly the same I have added a floor change connector in order to connect the pipes within the riser as it would in an install. The Schematic shows the pipes connected in the isometric model. However, when I add a system marker in order to size the pipes on each floor it only sizes them on the current floor I am on rather than the system as a whole? Would it be preferable for me to draw each floor system in rather than copy or is there a way around this?..

Thanks,
