It starts out like the first picture then i had to zoom in (a lot!) to get to the station range of my alignment as in picture 2. It use to show up with the entire proposed profile and ground line. if I hover over the alignment/plan element, it shows that the active profile is the same as the alignment. The TOPO ref. file is the active terrain model as well.
