How to avoid copying levels from reference while copying elements from reference

I want to copy an element from reference into the current dgn file. when i do that Microstation creates new levels in the current dgn file, which is the one the element was on, in the reference. I tried changing the reference settings in the Preferences, but whatever i do the levels are created. I just want to transfer the element from one dgn file to another. The incoming elements should take on the active symbology and become part of the current dgn file. Any suggestions?

In CONNECT Can i override symbology of Cells by Display Style?

I like the way we can change the symbology of objects based on the Item Types information using new display style feature of CONNECT. It works well with simple Elements. But when i attach item type to Cells, this does not seem to work.

Scenario: I have a set of cells (Chairs) that share the same item types. But the values of one property 'Type of Chair' can be different. I want to highlight the cells that are particular 'Type of chair'.

I believe it requires some additional conditional statement. Any advice?

Importing AecoSIM 3D model into PDMS

Is it possible to import a 3D model generated with Aecosim into PDMS software without any third party tools? Only the 3D Model is required, without any metadata or intelligence?

Can the model be edited in PDMS? Any other issues that I should keep note of before or after importing?
