Is the autosave function not working (it is turned on in my Settings)? A workaround for now is saving just before activating a reference file just in case, but I wonder if anyone else has experienced this issue.

Recent Edits Vanishing when Activating Reference to Another Model in Same DGN.

My file is set up so the design line work is on the "Default" model, and I have several sheet models within the same DGN file that reference the default model. My issue that if I need to "activate" reference to edit linework in the default model, one or more recent edits in the sheet model will vanish/"undo".

For instance, if I draw a dimension on one part of the sheet model, but then see that I am missing a line in the default model, I might activate the reference. However, the dimension I just drew disappears! Sometimes, several recent complex edits in the sheet model might revert. This is particularly frustrating when the edit I need to make to the default model is based on those edits in the sheet.

My question is: Is this the expected behavior, or a bug in the software. Is there anyway to deactivate this feature, or otherwise ensure that the edits are properly saved so that they don't revert?

I am using "OpenRoads Designer CE 2021 Release 2 (10.16.02.16)".

Thank you.

Dialogs drifting off screen

Hello,

When working in Microstation for any significant length time (more than an hour), dialog boxes start to drift off screen. For instance, the drop down for selecting element colors will initially open directly beneath the colors button, but over time, will open a few pixels to the right, and move further right each time I open it it. Eventually, it drifts off screen, and locks the program because I cannot select a color or otherwise dismiss the box. This has occurred for several different tools, including the scales dialog, wordprocessor dialog, the spellcheck dialog opened from within the word processor, etc. I have lost work several times due to having to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to close Microstation when a dialog box gets lost off screen (the lost dialog apparently block autosaving edits).

Is there any setting that can prevent this from happening, or reset where boxes open (short of restarting Microstation several times a). Is there at least a way to force the offscreen dialog to close so that I can save my work before closing and restarting?

I am using:

"Microstation V8i (SELECTseries 4)"

When I am opening a document from Projectwise, during the managed workspace export, I receive a prompt informing me that this session will be using custom units. This was helpful the first time, however, this often delays the loading of large documents, as the prompt must be dismissed before the document will finish downloading. Often the prompt will be hidden behind another windows, increasing the time needed to locate and dismiss the prompt. Is there anyway to disable this prompt so that documents will load without the need to dismiss it?
