Good morning Bentley Community,

Some of our users are seeing the following message (in the Message Center of OpenBridge Modeler or OpenRoads Designer) after opening Bentley Design Files using ProjectWise Explorer:

Failed to update ProjectWise project information according to the current document - current project may be incorrect.

Any ideas what this means or if it is worthy of being concerned? It doesn't seem to affect all users.

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)
CONNECTION Client Version: 11.00.04.15
ProjectWise Explorer Version: 10.00.03.453
ProjectWise Design Integration Version (Bentley-hosted): 10.00.03.280
Bentley Civil Program: OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition, Versions 10.09.00.91 and 10.10.01.03
Is a Connected Project: Yes

"path too long error" when exporting documents outside of projectwise

we are getting the path too long error when exporting documents outside of projectwise. We have a lot of information to download from our datasource. We would need to be able to correct this problem in a way that is not manual

Error 59054 Cannot Login to datasource. An existing Connection was closed by the remote host

We are having the following problem for about 1/4 of our users.

ProjectWise closes suddenly. When they try to login again they get the message

Error 59054 Cannot Login to datasource. An existing Connection was closed by the remote host.

We are authenticated with our network accounts

After this happened we tested logging in with a logical account. Same message (so that rules out AD issues with the accounts which was my first suspect)
I tested the Datasource Connection in PW Explorer. It is successful
Database connection is ok
Restarted PW services, Integration, User Sync, Orchestration
Our PW service account is NOT locked out.
We are seeing it on both WIFI and WIRED connection.
Our Office of Technology is not reporting any network problems.

I'm in the process of turning up the logs to see if we get any additional info. Any additional ideas?

Place Label in Rotated View? ORD

In OpenRoads Designer, is there a setting to allow labels to be placed relative to the current view? Similar to how dimensions and notes have always worked in Microstation.

I am trying to place a label (station, offset) in a design model with the view rotated parallel to the alignment.

i cannot get pwe to open word documents. I have check desktop integration, unistalled and reinstalled integration. I have checked the add-ins , that is all good. I even changed loadbehavior to 3. I removed associations for word. I have literally tried every thing listed. office 365, pwe connect 10.0.3.280

Unable to Create Project from Template Using PowerShell

Good Morning,

I have been given admin privileges for our Dev Project in ProjectWise.

I have tried to create a Project in this test environment within PowerShell using "New-PWRichProjectFromTemplate" and get the attached error message.

I have been assured I have been granted full admin access to this, is there something else that is missing?

Please let me know.

Combine PDF files on ProjectWise with BlueBeam

How can I combine pdf files on ProjectWise using BlueBeam? If I have files on my desktop, I can select all pdf files, right click, combine in Revu. I am trying to do something similar in Projectwise.

Is there a CMDLET to identify rich projects that have a specific WorkSet assigned?

I am passing a ProjectWise folder into a function for processing created with:

$PWfolder = get-pwfolders -FolderID $TfolderID -JustOne

what do I use for the Type in the Parameters in my function?

Convert-PWUserToFederated example not working

from the help:
Get-PWUserByMatch -Email '*bentley.com' | Convert-PWUserToFederated

I figured out that:
Get-PWUserByMatch is the correct cmdlet.

the Convert-PWUserToFederate does not like to be Piped.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

ProjectWise Explorer CONNECT error: 112173 Cannot start application for the specified document.

Hi,

Just recently I am unable to open any Microsoft Office files in ProjectWise, I get the error code 112173.

There are no user associations, only global.

I have run the PW in repair mode and nothing changed.

Hi All

I wanted to delete an environment, but i suspect i can't because it is being used by folders

I find the folders using this specific envrionment, However I have 1000 of those folders....

Any tool to change in batch the environment associate to a folder? or we still rely on the one by one method?

Next Version of ProjectWise Design Integration (10.XX.04.XXX)?

To install, from a 64-bit Admin session of PowerShell v5 run: [Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol=[Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12, Uninstall-Module PWPS_DAB -AllVersions -Force, Install-Module PWPS_DAB. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This PowerShell Module is not covered under your SELECT Agreement and is not supported via your contractual support channels.
