Does anyone have additional information regarding the WRE which is server based.

We recently upgraded our hosted solution which now allows for server based rules, however it's not working as expected and I had to revert to desktop rules.

Some examples would be when revising it would delete the superseded revisions document code, which is a very strange behavior.

I tried finding resources but without any luck? Surprised this topic has not been discussed some more on this forum.

As BS1192, we have configured ProjectWise to support a Common Data Environment, in which we have external users using the same workflows, and progressing documents and sharing documents. My problem lies in how to incorporate Deliverables Management.

As Published Documents, the transmittal will be issued, for example, from a subcontractor ( X - Subcontractor) to Client/EPC however I cant have the other subcontractors viewing the content of the transmittal, but as they are part of the project they all can. It is very easy of course to limit the viewing of the documents within PW simply by setting the access control.

So, my solution, which I do not like, is to invite each external company to participate in DM, and upon excepting they create their own DM Portal. But to issue a document, they actually have to export it out of ProjectWise and use DM via the web portal to issue the documents to Client/EPC, hence creating an uncontrolled document.

I am very interested on how BS1192 users and Bentley, are utilizing DM, taking note the files are issued for checking purposes, prior to the Published state, and that some transmittals could be sensitive, in which only the EPC would be able to view them.

Thanks,

Stephen,
