ORD Cross Section Annotation overlapping in Sheet view but not model view

While creating cross sections, our Texas office is encountering issues with the overlap of annotations in the sheet view. If you were to go to the model view all is fine.

Does anyone know:

Why is this occuring? I would think they would match.
How can this be fixed?

I did read an earlier post about going into the dgnlib in the standards and adjusting the conflict space, but we would like to avoid this if possible. Below are screenshots of what is happening.

ORD Profile Annotations showing up with Levels on "Default"

Good afternoon! As I am trying to fix our company's ORD Standard dgnlibs, I am using a testing project that was provided by our DOT. We have slightly modified the DOT's workspace to meet our company preferences. When I go to annotate my profile for the Plan and Profile sheets, some of the annotations are coming up on the level "Default." In my experience thus far, ORD puts it on Default level when the element template is not being found or is invalid. I have had to create a couple of new ones for our grid lines, etc.

This being said, I have gone and reassociated our Proposed Profile Annotations to the proper library, verifying the levels are valid, correct, etc.

Some annotations work and have updated, others don't. I have read a previous question on here about this happening, but his issue was that they were not in separate dgnlibs and mine are.

I am working in Projectwise. I had a Bentley rep go through some troubleshooting yesterday and it did not work.

Here is an example:

Both special ditch annotation groups match exactly, yet the leader line (it is separate annotation than the words) will not update. Both should have white leader lines on the level RDY_Annotation. The SPD RT updated fine, but not the SPD LT and they are both set up exactly the same in the Annotation groups.

Another example: The slope on the proposed slope is not on the Default Level, yet the note calling out the VPC is on the Default level. It is set to the same element template as the slope and it still shows up as default.

To say that I am frustrated is an understatement. The sole reason for making sure these levels show up right is so that it's not flat on the print out. Also, I am testing the workspace and standards to make sure that when I add more annotations to the RDY_Profile Annotation group that they will annotate without locking up the ORD file, which has been an issue with some of the designers. I am testing to make sure its working properly, so if the designers have this issue I can figure out if it's user error or within the standards.

Has this happened to anyone else? I have spent 3 weeks trying so many things, starting over, etc. and I feel like I am missing something. tips appreciated.

Text Favorite Easting and Northing in Curve Data ORD VS 2021 R1

Good Morning!

I am attempting to get a read out on our curve data similar to what we had in Inroads. This involves the Easting and Northing. I have gone through the effort of finding those in the Text Favorites Manager, however that data does not populate when the horizontal is annotated.

This is the readout that I am getting. I realize that the latest version of ORD may fix this, but our DOT is not using it yet and so we have not made that switch. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if there is some button I am not pressing. Has anyone had any success in annotating all the data on the curve set using the text favorites manager?

ORD Horizontal Annotations for NON CURVE PI Points

Our team is trying to annotate PI points on the horizontal alignment that are NOT part of a curve set. Inroads automatically annotated them, but we have not figured out how to get ORD to do this. I saw a similar post about this posted from 3 years ago, however It was not helpful. I had no idea what process they were using to get that set up. Will I need to add something in the Horizontal Annotation group to set this up? Thank you in advance.

ORD Drainage & Utilities error when changing Invert Elevation

Good morning. One of our team members is getting errors when trying to change the invert elevation for a drainage inlet. They were trying to type the changes in the properties area. When she tries to do this, she gets the below error messages and the drawing will crash every time. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there another method she should be using when trying to update?

ORD Place Label Command not letting me choose associations

I have been trying to set up a horizontal label for my team. Before I set a new one up, I wanted to test out an existing label. I have been watching the "Under the Hood" Youtube video: Configuring Annotation Part 1. :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XpzUH8f_N4&t=227s

It says that when I choose my cell name that it should choose my dim style, which it did, and that my Associations should be turned on. The only annotation association it lets me turn on is the scale lock. the other 2 are greyed out. Has this happened to anyone else? When we place the label just like that with no other associations, the label comes in huge. Is there something in the set up that i need to do to be able to get those other 2 associations to be selectable?

K value text favorite reading as SF. Should not have a unit of measurement

Good Afternoon!

I have been searching on communities and youtube to try and find this answer and I have not been successful yet. I have found questions similar, but not exact.

Our Vertical Annotation for the K value is reading as SF for a unit. The K value should not have a unit of measurement. I am not finding a way to delete or remove that measurement suffix.

ORD - Feature Definition / Element Template / Level display issues

When working in ORD, our Feature Definition for the survey existing boundary for the terrain comes in at a weight of 4. It should be a 1 per our company standards. I looked at the element template for this and it is using the level "RDY_Exisitng Ground" and is set to "By Level (4)" When I go to the Level Manager, the "By Level" Is set to 1. There is a disconnect here and I am having problems figuring out how to fix this. Has anyone else had this issue?

ORD Changing a Sheet Seed after a plan sheets are created?

If a designer wants to change the Sheet Seed used to create a set of plan and profile sheets, is there a way to do that without having to recut them? I saw a similar question posted in 2018, but was hoping there had been an update.

Terrain Model showing skewed in Cross section cut in OpenRoads

Good Morning! One of our designers is trying to cut cross sections in Open Roads Designer. The entire terrain model is showing in sort of a skewed view instead of just showing the existing ground at the cross section being cut. Any ideas of why this happened? How can we fix this?

Cell being brought in on a different level in Connect.

I updated an old cell library with new level names and properties. I created a new seed file for a 2D design sheet for MicroStation Connect. When I pull in a cell from my new cell library, it puts it on a level that is not even in the base seed file. It's not in the cell library either. It will put it on the correct level when I select "Level Overrides" in the View Attributes, but why would it pull in on a completely different level that's not in my base seed file? Is there a place somewhere that its telling it to do that? how do I change that?

Greyed-Out "Create" button in New Cell Library

Using Microstation Connect Edition, I am trying to create a new cell library. I have Created a new library, named it, saved it and it is ready for new cells. The Create Cell Button is greyed out. When I highlight the elements that I want to turn into a cell, the create cell button is still greyed out.

I should note that this is a freshly updated and installed version of Connect as we were using V8i previously.

I am trying to take cells from other libraries and import them into this new library for our designers.
