Remote scripting: Error when defining normal stiffness of plate (EA)

Hello,

I am trying to model the dynamic behaviour of a single pile in Plaxis2D(Version 2019) and at first, I am using the plate element.

When trying to input the material properties using scripting I get the following error: "Normal stiffness is zero! Enter proper EA value." even though I input non-zero values. It seems also that I get the same message even if I try to input a negative value. It recognizes it as "zero value". My code is the following:

plate_params = [("MaterialName", "PlateMat"), ("IsIsotropic", True), ("EA", EA), ("EI", EI), ("nu", nu), ("RayleighAlpha", 0), ("RayleighBeta", 0), ("PreventPunching", True)]
plate_mat = g_i.platemat(*plate_params)

where EA, EI and nu are properly defined values. When I use the user interface with the same values everything works fine and I can go ahead and create the material with the same properties as the one with the script.

I tried an alternative way with the <setproperties()> command but no luck once again. Also, it came to my attention that if I only try to define i.e. the normal stiffness (plate_mat.setproperties("EA", EA), then I get an error for the flexural rigidity (that is "zero or negative"). But once I put a second argument inside (for instance: plate_mat.setproperties("EA", EA, "EI", EI), then no matter what I do, I will receive a message prompting me to define a proper EA value.

Is it some sort of a bug or is it something that I do incorrectly?

[Resolved] Services outage affected availability of PLAXIS Remote Scripting Server on April 20, 2020

The server for PLAXIS remote scripting is back online. Services will be fully available within 1-2 hours

The server for remote scripting is currently down, preventing users to use remote scripting functionality in PLAXIS legacy versions (PLAXIS 2D 2019 and earlier, PLAXIS 3D 2018 and earlier).

The Remote Scripting functionality is fully operational in the PLAXIS 2D and 3D CONNECT Edition V20 versions.

We are working on the issue and publish any updates here.

We apologize for any inconveniences caused by this server issue.

April 21, 09.30 AM CEST (UTC/GMT+2hr): Investigation of the issue
April 21, 14:20 PM CEST (UTC/GMT+2hr): Issue on the server-side is resolved, and services will be back online within 1-2 Hours
April 21, 17:30 PM CEST (UTC/GMT+2hr): All systems are working as normal again. Marking this issue as resolved.
