I am working on the dseign of monopiles under cyclic load. The most important thing for that to cater is strength and stiffness degradation.

In the link below I attached there is a discussion regarding constitutive model i.e. UDCAM-S which has integrated Cyclic Accumulation and optimization tool.

UDCAM-S - GeoStudio | PLAXIS Forum - GeoStudio | PLAXIS - Bentley Communities

In my understanding, for strength and stiffness degradation, we use contour diagrams and apply the load parcels. Following that, Neq is calculated by Plaxis using Cyclic Accumulation and optimization tool.

However I have still one confusion as one of my colleague mentioned as:

"In principle the UDCAM-S model also requires reduced parameters as input, but what the UDCAM-S model offers as an extra is that with the cyclic accumulation tool it can determine the rate of reduction with number of cycles. But the residual values are user input."

If residual values are user input then it means for instance in the image below Neq at failure is 11.76. That means corresponding to 11.76 Neq the Tcy/Su ie almost 0.58.

Does that mean the original value of undrained shear strength is e.g 50 Kpa, it should be multiplied by 0.58 in order to input the degraded parameter and same with the case of stiffness?

please correct me if I am wrong
